Seven years ago they met at somebody else’s wedding, introduced by a mutual friend. First date was mini golf, which Dave won and has presumably not stopped mentioning since.
Four children later, he finally got round to proposing. Their words, not ours: about five years later than he should have. Worth the wait though, an Italian in Bath followed by a walk along the river, and that was that.
And on Saturday it all came together at Clearwell Castle. That Gothic Revival frontage in the Forest of Dean is something else, and it delivered from the first look at Sam walking down the aisle right through to the evening.
A singer through the ceremony and drinks reception, three best men sharing speech duties alongside Dave, his dad Ray, and their daughter Belle taking the mic too. Not many weddings can say that, and it was a lovely thing to film.
It was such a pleasure to capture your day. Everyone was so lovely and friendly from start to finish, and it was so good to be back at this stunning venue.
