Good morning! Wishing you all the best for this heatwave arriving shortly…..it’s surprisingly cool at the moment. I have just been out to make sure the piggy’s have water everywhere, a clean house and their ice packs in the freezer for later. Sarah & I first crossed paths when we were about 14 or 15. Our friendship was built on horses, spending far too much time at the yard, somehow getting into the pubs of Tenterden without ID (a different era altogether 😂), and listening to The Crazy Frog on repeat for reasons neither of us can explain.

Life has taken us in different directions and we don’t see each other nearly as much as we’d like, but she still knows me better than almost anyone. Which is both lovely and slightly concerning, considering the amount of ammunition she has.

So if you’re wondering what I’m really like, Sarah is probably the person to ask 🫶😂❤️

Your Brand Shoot should be a reflection of you, not a version of you you think you should be, or at a location that just looks nice. There is so much more to it.

Your shoot should be in your happy place, where you have all your big ideas, where your work comes together, where your craft lies, where your soul feels good.

For your audience to recognise you, they need to feel you in the photos. For example....

Imagine someone who runs their business from their kitchen table. Me for example....

Kids in the background.
Notebook open.
Ideas happening in real time. 3 in the morning usually.

And then their brand shoot is in a polished studio.

It looks “right”.

But it doesn’t feel like their life.
