I was having this discussion with Eddie my 7 year old son a few evenings ago. He had been called weird at school by another kid. I told him how many times in my life I had been called weird! Now I see it as a compliment.

Weird generally means something outside the social 'norm'. But who wants to be normal?

So when someone says, “That's weird,” the useful question is “Weird compared with what?”

Getting my own AUDHD diagnosis helped me understand myself. Which in turn is helping me to really see others. It’s having a direct impact on my work and I think that is one of the coolest things. Being able to truly be me. Allows others to truly be themselves too. Which means I can actually capture you!

Storytelling is where my heart is. I know there is so much more depth to all of us than we often let on. When I work with someone. I want to tell more of your story. For Vireo, having their first shoot at Sarah's home gave me such a huge insight to her as a human. Which is so perfect for storytelling. (Liz lives in Portugal so that trip is on the cards!) Sarah & Liz run a virtual assistant team. Helping founders, creatives and small business owners THRIVE by taking on the admin side, giving them the time and space to do what they love. This requires TRUST. And a lot of it. So by showing their people exactly who they are. Real people. With a real human relationship. It is much easier for them to trust and connect.
Anyway. I just really bloody enjoyed this shoot!!!
