Planes, trains and automobiles set the tone for our day in Shoreham-by-Sea — with motorbikes, buses, and even helicopters making an appearance. We spotted a post box for Mrs Catpaw, took in stunning views of the old bridge, and discovered some incredible sculptures along the way. Such a fun mix of sights around every corner!

As Brighton's former West Pier fades into the sunset, we can only look back at the grandeur that must have been. The two kiosks that remain at the former entrance hint at the splendor of days gone by. Imagine the vibrant life that once thrived there, the laughter and joy echoing over the waves. A memory in time – with the recent closure of the Ironbridge Gorge museums, while they transfer ownership to the National Trust, I thought I would look back at Blists Hill Victorian Village from the industrial heart to the summer sunshine.

Here are a few of my photographs from my last visit, like many I have some amazing memories of this magical place.

Deep family Ties – Mrs catpaw can trace here ancestors back to Alverstoke Parish Church and a marked grave no less, the first mention of her family name in the area are linked to this beautiful church, although later generations have closer ties to other local churches both in Gosport and Portsmouth.

A tranquil space can be found in the church which is still very much at the heart of this wonderful community, which still celebrates festivals such as the Michaelmas Fayre in September which raises funds for local charities, traditionally this was the time to pay your dues to the local land owners for land cropped and products sold and also a time to bid for new contracts for the year to come especially for coppice workers which is my other life.

A walk on the wild side - Inspired by Putman and Robin's recent visitor I thought I would look out this image from exactly 3 years ago.

Mrs catpaw and I were sat having breakfast when two fox cubs appeared in the garden here at while it was difficult to capture many images due to their speed here is one I did manage to capture.

If you have been watching my feed lately you will have noticed it has been rather food centric, this is mostly because the weather has definitely not been conducive with getting out with the of late.
I have also been learning a new way to show case my work namely Canva design studio.
While there is an element of AI support the creative side of it is all me and I pan to keep it that way.

They aren't kidding when they say "The ultimate cheese and ham" (toastie) and yes the Kinder Bueno brownie is to die from - sorry, for 🙈

We love to at we find because many of the ingredients can be traced back to small local producers
