Some of the best moments are never posed.

This image is one of my favourites from the recent SW Golden Retriever Club working dog test day.
A quiet, candid moment between owner and her dog that beautifully captured the trust, connection they share.

For me, I love to capture these as it’s often these little in-between moments that tell the real story. 🐾

What more could you want, a very handsome Aflie & a gorgeous Scottish Loch as a backdrop.

So anyone who knows me, knows how clumsy I actually am. How I did not fall in the loch i do not know…. Check out the amazing behind the scenes courtesy of the talented & my careful rock balance skills.

This photo was taken at Scotland Retreat 2. I’m actually really proud of it, it’s not a photo I would normally attempt, but I love to be pushed out my comfort zone to try new things especially in gorgeous locations like here. Can’t thank Jess, Dan & fellow mtogs for the guidance & support.

Now I’m off to find some Lakes local to me to try a Devon version

Flying into the week!

Beginning of April, I had the absolute pleasure to be asked if I would be the official photographer for first ever tournament. I was thrilled & so honoured to be asked ☺️

It was a weekend full of fast paced action with Flyball clubs that travelled from all over the UK. We had rain, was blessed with sunshine and wow we got battered by the wind… Think a few awnings were lost that weekend 🫣

But amongst it all, the weekend was so much fun! Both for the owners and their dogs. Just look at this photo… could this golden retriever look any happier!

I have no idea what caught their attention, but for a split second there was a moment of calm amongst the spaniel chaos to create this gorgeous family portrait during a gundog training session.

Scotland Retreat 2026 🐾
This is absolutely the best place to start my photo catchup. A week spent improving, sharing, supporting & having a really good laugh with a group of amazing talented photographers run by the awesome

My photo of Alfie (who is a superstar model ) was taken at the Scotland retreat & is actually a shot I’ve not tried before….

And I love it !!!

So much so, I am excited to shoot it again here in Devon (anyone in Devon with a barn doorway & working dog apply here).

I am also lucky enough to be able to include a couple of photos of me behind the scenes helping set up a shot with Alfie taken by the talented .and.lil 😍 thankyou for these, I do love a behind the scenes

Phew it’s time to catch up….

It’s nearly the end of April & wow what a whirlwind it’s been. With the fast paced Two Bridges first ever Flyball tournament, Devon Howlers colourful retro canicross / bikejor event & gundog training sessions with some gorgeous goldies (where photo below was taken).

I am so excited to share some of these photos, so keep an eye out!
