This image, A Tiny Explorer is such a wonderfully charming moment, and earned Richard a fantastic 14 points in our Wildlife and Nature competition.

Blending vibrant colour with beautifully judged focus, the tiny subject nestled among the sunflower’s petals gives the photograph a warm, playful character that stands out instantly.

Every translucent cap is rendered with care, and the soft, upward perspective gives the whole frame a quiet, elegant glow.

Continuing with our 15 point images from the latest Wildlife and Nature competition we have Kingfisher and Prey by Graham F.

A split‑second moment captured with incredible precision as the kingfisher bursts from the water, wings wide and colours blazing - the technical control is clear throughout this image and we can see why the judge loved it. Every droplet, every feather, every ounce of motion is frozen with real mastery.

A patient wait rewarded with a perfect pose and a razor‑sharp gaze. The picture, Little Owl by Jeff B scored him a wonderful 3rd place and 15 points in our latest wildlife competition and we can see why.

Every feather is rendered with care, and the background falls away into smooth colour that lifts the subject beautifully. A portrait built on timing, observation, and craft.
