AI is never part of my artistic practice.

I find myself having to say that a lot more these days in a world where artists’ work is constantly taken and used to train AI. For me, it comes down to the integrity of the process. I want to tell my stories through my own hands, my emotions, and the skills I’ve spent years learning. Real props. Real animals. Real light. Real tools. If anything, I believe process matters more than ever now. Taking time over something. Not sacrificing learning for speed. Not skipping the middle bit struggle that shapes the work and understanding.

Honoured to have opened my exhibition in Paris on Wednesday evening as part of

‘Modern Muse’ brings together a selection of self-portraits and poems that delve into authorship, the female gaze, and the reclaiming of identity.

These works were born in my Sussex studio, shaped by mythology, womanhood, and the intimate inner rooms we each hold. To see them gathered here, in a city that has shaped so many creative lineages, feels both surreal and deeply grounding.

The historic space at holds them well, highlighting the complexity and resonance of female voices.

The exhibition is now open until the 23rd of November, and I couldn’t be more grateful to double act also thank you to and the whole team. Congratulations, too, to the other wonderful artists

AD I’ve been working on a new fine art portrait.
One that began in the physical, in painting, sculpture, and the textures of my hands, and now comes alive in Photoshop.
Photoshop Subject Selection gives me precision and control, letting me isolate exactly what I want to highlight.
Adjustment Layers allow me to sculpt light, shadow, temperature, and tint, almost like painting digitally, layer by layer, with subtle strokes, working non destructively.
This is the portrait I imagined, now fully realised.
You can see more of the process and get inspired by watching my Adobe MAX session and many others online. Link in my stories
