imed woods, we treat, age and paint these wonderful pieces. Measuring approximately 3ft x 2ft / 90cm by 60cm, the surfaces are perfectly portable. We have also perfected some lightweight aged concrete effects as well as creating beautiful paint effect surfaces. Our boards are available to buy or hire (depending on location), we also make boards to individual specification and design.

Another great food styling and photo workshop today with the wonderful Sarah from We focused on loads of Fish and Meat dishes. Great fun day, lots of laughs and got some great pics. Sarah is an insanely good cook/chef and was incredibly helpful in getting the shots looking the way they did. This is her recipe for ‘Grilled Mackerel Fillets with Picked Cucumber + Red Onion, Dulse Seaweed with a Herby Fennel Sauce’. Recipe and story on blog June 1.

This was the first book we put together - and although it is a few years old now it still holds its own. Although we had to wear many hats on this one - photographer, art director, project manager, layout and design, pre-press and distribution - the biggest lesson we learnt was the power of collaboration. The success of the book did not just rest on our hard work, but on the foundation of collaboration with the chefs, copy writers, editors, recipe testers, distribution outlets, bloggers and media. We are putting together a few projects like this one at the moment, and whilst it is tough to get the momentum going at the start we are focussed on the fact that the intrinsic value of these projects is so much greater than the physical end product - the act of collaboration with good people is the true bounty.
