Iggy!

Well, Mr & Mrs Fox...

Often I work with lovely people, some are even amazing, but occassionally I work with epic animals, and Iggy was one of them! What a super star! Iggy Fox if anyone if seeking a dog model, here he is πŸ˜πŸ˜‰

Right, back to the matter in hand, Mr & Mrs Fox (AKA, Iggys parents!), chose to tie the knott af Briery Wood Country House Hotel followed by an adventure over Kirkstone pass. They decided they were more atmospheric mountain people than jetty over Windermere people. Which obviously made me a very happy photographer.

Their day was small, personal and full of love, nevertheless we acheived so much in the three hours coverage that they selected.

I am looking forward to editing this gallery and seeing more of Iggys charming little face! 😍

🚨 BREAKING NEWS! 🚨

300 charity calendars ordered, and paid for in full as a charitable donation through my businesses! πŸ’ͺ Because I believe in supporting these things πŸ‘€

What does this mean?
The first 300 calendar sales the full Β£10 per calendar will go to charity, which means if we all pull together and get them all sold Β£3000 will go to Cancer Research UK!
Following this...
If we require further calendars, the cost of the second batch of calendars will be covered by the sales.

It is a difficult thing go manage, potential sale numbers, nevertheless, I am confident we can manage 300 sales after so many businesses and people have messages me saying they would like one or two for gifts etc.

Calendars are due mid-September, and I am packaging them up, as many are heading to the gift market.

I am optimistic we can get a few hundred sold before December 2026.

P.S - if anyone knows any publications what will help with some publicuty, please tag them.

There is something I want to say!...

It is bloody September, I feel like I have blinked since May and once again summer has passed me by. It is crazy how this seems to always happen.

I think all too often the world is delusional to think I have a life. Whilst, I always share any little windows of rest I get, like Monday, two how mid-travel spa stop. Plus my love for my career. It is easy to forget, I haven't had a full day away from work since May, YES May. 4 months ago!

Writting this at 3.30am as my mind is awake with a hectic week underway as we speak. Bringing me to the realisation also, I will not being having a full day off anytime this side of 20th September (at best!).

My camper van will not be taking shape now until into October, this was planned to be finised by mid-october and work took over. This saddens me as it os part of me having a healthier workspace on wheels, thus allowing more freedom, less travel and more productivity.

Nevertheless, I have decided something...
Over the next month or two, I will be taking some short retreats away. Not for 'time off' as such. Just an expensive office with opportunity for a swim / spa / have a great meal between my heavy editing workload. My body, mind and soul needs something.

Tuesday alone, I received 4 bookings for 2026, Wednesday I received 3 more enquiries (2 for 2026, 1 for 2027). It is very busy out there! Meaning even my 'down months' are far from that these days. 🀣

Into Octoer 2026, I will also be boxing off some time for MY summer 2027. Meaning, even if, I need to book a holiday to ensure it happens I will do so. I am very guilty of working when I attempt any time off at home. The only way to stop me, is having an actual plan without my gear and laptop.

Old and new, Nikki and Rob hosted a vow renewal weekend at the lovely Fallbarrow Hall Windermere.

Their weekend was truely special, and the combination of the older building and quirky modern decor alonside peacock styled florals somehow had a deep representational feel.

From serenading moments at getting ready, disco balls skining, jetty adventures, delicious catering, a whole lot of beautiful words, laughing and a wonderfully wet windermere cruise - this day had it all. The only downfall for me, was only being there for one day of the weekend.

I feel blessed that Nikki and Rob crossed paths with me and that I could capture their day, both photography and film. They were a 'short' notice booking. Which demonstrates, even if you are looking for a supplier a few weeks before, do not panic. There is not one photographer who shoots every. Single. Day. Of their life. Always reach out and enquire.

Composing their teaser film was fun, but their highlight film has something special in the making.

AUGUST… WHAT. A. MONTH...

I knew it was going to be busy, but WOW, the energy levels were consistently booming!

There’s a funny thing about weddings during World Cup months ⚽️ ...Couples often avoid booking their big day then, and honestly, I completely understand!

All those weddings have to go somewhere…& apparently, they all came to AUGUST, I am not the only supplier who saw this! πŸ˜‚

And you know what?

I HAVE LOVED EVERY SINGLE SECOND πŸ’ƒ

Although I think I’ve aged about 10 years and gained a stone in the process! πŸ–

It’s been emotionally draining, physically testing. A little hectic with a few hiccups I happily helped couples resolve.
PLUS, also completely bloody brilliant πŸ‘€

I’ve gained clients who I hope will now become friends. I’ve witnessed the most incredible moments, been trusted with memories that mean everything, and received some of the most beautiful thank yous, epic treat packs, gifts and genuinely meaningful words of gratitude THAT TRUELY MEANT THE WORLD TO ME. I have been called beautiful various times, a new one for me and obviously talking about me as a person not my highly emotive face. 🀣

& then there’s the small matter of being made a LADY! πŸ‘‘πŸ˜‚

I genuinely feel so, so blessed to do a career I love.

It isn't always easy, but I love the people, the stories, the chaos, the emotions and every ridiculous moment in between.

So to every couple, family and supplier who has been part of my August…

Sat in a well deserved impulsively booked spa at Appleby Manor (highly recommend!) thinking about how giddy I am to edit these galleries and films!

Joanna & Richard chose a to get married at the lovely Lake District Exclusive Small Weddings & Destination Elopements with their nearest and dearest.
We were blessed, the weather held out until the afternoon when everyone enjoyed a hearty meal.
Their day was relaxed, informal and full of love, with plenty of giggles along the way.

Before arriving to this Dutch couples weddin day in the Lake District, I knew it was going to be special. Jennifer, and I have built up a lovely little connection ahead of their wedding, something I open to with all my couple.

Given I was working with Trina Katrina | Bridal Hair Stylist | Lake District it was always the right plan to be present early and have a catch up and chilled morning with the bridal squad. That being said, the bpy didn't miss out on their coverage either - but more to come on that another day (BRACE YOURSELVES!)

In true Coppermines Mountain Weddings style, Phil offered Jennifer his 4Γ—4 to arrive at her ceremony. Which is a very typical arrival style at this mountain wedding venue.

The ceremony itself, with heartfelt personal vows, enabling myself and guests to appreciate the depth of their relationship from the start. It really did have many people crying, including me!

Afterwards a Lake District stroll to the tipi on the mountain side, for the energetic reception. Jennifer let me know she chose me as I could fit in with things, which was fun, big energy and daftness. It was a blast, and their extended gallery speaks for itself already. With a quiz, drinks on tap, and bromance like no other, this day was a dream to photograph!

No Coppermines wedding is complete without a waterfall hike for portraits, Jennifer and Joey were amazing to work with pulling various cool moves out of the bag...

Which was all explained when the did their first day, to Dolly Parton (RIP), an planned wedding dance and song which then became a tribute to the woman after her recent passing. Their wedding day, being one of the best I have seen, well done both πŸ’ƒ

The party rocked on, with smooth and epic dance moves, silly times and sweaty men. 🀣

A stunningly touching heartfelt vow renewal which almost had me in tears on many occassions. Surrounded by love and highland cows, this Lake District ceremony was perfectly precious for this couple with a love of the quiet, calm, rolling countryside.

Here is to the next 10 years and more Lake District photographs 🫢
