The final preview from this week's Gradbach Mill bridal shoot… 🌿🌊🥹😱

‘Where Elegance Meets the River’

Lola is modelling the beautiful Maggie Sottero tea length dress, Corset back, kindly provided by Emily at Papermill Bridal. 👗✨

Ever since I first scouted this location, I'd wanted to create an image in the river.

Imogen at Gradbach Mill mentioned that people had photographed down there before, but usually facing the opposite direction. I couldn't stop looking back towards the venue though. Having the beautiful mill in the background felt like it added another layer to the image, blending the venue's timeless architecture with the wild landscape that surrounds it.

The tea-length dress was the perfect choice too. It felt elegant enough to suit the venue, but practical enough to step into the river, bringing everything together exactly as I'd imagined.

A huge thank you to Lola for being an absolute star. Without hesitation she was happy to climb into the river, and her professionalism from start to finish was second to none. It makes such a difference working with people who are willing to invest in an idea and fully embrace it.

Although this wraps up the preview images from the shoot, there's still plenty more to come. Over the coming weeks I'll be sharing full image posts, more behind-the-scenes moments, & a deeper look into how this collaboration came together, so keep an eye out!

I spotted this composition before we even started shooting. The old lamps, stone walls and pathway all seemed to lead together naturally, so rather than overcomplicate it, we simply let the location do what it does best & Lola’s talents made the image work beautifully.

Gradbach Mill has so many beautiful little spots to work with, and the main doorway is one of them. The clean lines of the dress against the old stone building worked so well, and the breeze gave the veil just enough movement to bring the whole image to life.

The 2nd look of the day we headed over to the farm house Gradbach Mill which has these stunning old world windows in a traditional kitchen & lounge area (available on AirBNB with several bedrooms, dining room & hottub). While our first shot captures the traditional view of the Mill behind I wanted to show some of the stunning interior architecture too. It reminds me of my grandads house that wasn’t too far from Gradbach Mill - a traditional Peak District old stone house with these wooden windows.

The first photo preview from yesterday's shoot! 🥳🤩

Lola modelling the beautiful Justin Alexander A-Line gown, kindly provided by Emily at Papermill Bridal. ✨

What a day! We couldn't have asked for better weather – wall-to-wall sunshine & plenty of heat, but everyone absolutely powered through it. We'd originally planned to photograph three dresses, but thanks to everyone's hard work we managed to capture five!

A huge thank you to Gradbach Mill for looking after us so well. Having a room to get ready in made such a difference, and the homemade pizzas for lunch were exactly what we needed to keep us all going. Thank you so much to Imogen & Ruby for being such wonderful hosts.

It was another reminder of how much goes into a shoot like this. Every supplier put in so much effort, and it's always a pleasure working alongside such talented people to bring an idea to life. I can't wait to share more from the day over the coming weeks!

What a day this was. ☀️

Niharika & Eamonn were married at the beautiful Gradbach Mill, in the heart of the Peak District. They couldn’t have asked for a more stunning day, it was gloriously hot from start to finish, and it was one of those weddings that had everything.

One of the highlights was witnessing not one, but two beautiful ceremonies. Alongside their traditional ceremony, it was an absolute privilege to experience a Hindu ceremony full of colour, tradition and emotion. Seeing two cultures come together so seamlessly made the day incredibly special.

Niharika and Eamonn both looked absolutely incredible, and it was so heartwarming to see Niharika’s family make the journey all the way from India to celebrate with them. For some, it was their very first time leaving India, which made having everyone together even more meaningful.

As the sun began to set, everyone gathered outside for their first dance, accompanied by a fantastic live band. Dancing beneath the evening sky, surrounded by family, friends and the stunning Peak District landscape, was the perfect way to end such an unforgettable day.

Congratulations again, Niharika & Eamonn. Thank you for letting me be part of such an amazing celebration, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together. ❤️

Carlota & Calum’s wedding at Chateau Rhianfa was such an amazing day to be part of 🥰📷.

These two are so clearly in love & well suited to each other, you could see it in the way they looked at each other 🥹🫶. It was a real pleasure to capture such an important day for them. One of my favourite little details was their nickname, ‘C Squared’... C&C. Simple, but it suits them perfectly.

With Carlota’s family travelling over from Catalonia, alongside guests from all over the world, the whole day had an amazing atmosphere. There was so much energy, laughter & a real Spanish feel to the celebrations that made it such a memorable wedding.

Thank you both for trusting me to tell your story. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together.

This is a wedding I’ll remember for many years to come.

Marged & Nick should have been married a year ago, but life had other plans when Marged was diagnosed with cancer. However I’m thrilled to say that after an incredibly tough journey her bravery, and support of her loving husband and family pulled her through to defeat it & be here today, on their wedding day! ❤️

Seeing her so happy beside her new husband is something I’ll never forget. I genuinely couldn’t have been happier to photograph a wedding for a couple who deserved their day so much.

With their three children by their side and family travelling from far and wide, it was a day full of emotion, laughter and gratitude. The speeches were some of the most heartfelt I’ve ever heard.

It was an absolute privilege to capture these memories, and I wish Marged & Nick every happiness for the future.

As always, it was a pleasure working alongside the team at . Chateau Rhianfa I’ve photographed weddings here for decades and think the world of everyone there. It’s one of my favourite venues in North Wales and a photographer’s playground. I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect setting for such a deserving couple.

What a lovely afternoon spent with Niharika & Eamonn for their engagement photoshoot in the beautiful Peak District woodlands of Dimmingsdale.

We spent a relaxed few hours exploring the winding woodland paths, peaceful lakes, and flowing streams that make this corner of the Peak District so special, capturing natural moments along the way while getting to know each other ahead of their big day.

After our adventure through the woods, we headed back to Ramblers Retreat for a well-earned coffee and a chat about their wedding plans this summer at the stunning Gradbach Mill . It was wonderful to hear more about the day they're creating, and I'm already counting down the days until I have the privilege of documenting it.

Thank you both for such a fun and relaxed afternoon. Dimmingsdale provided the perfect backdrop for your engagement shoot, and if your wedding day is anything like our time together, it's going to be something truly special.
