VENTNOR NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Please sign this petition to highlight to the Isle of Wight council that we need urgent assistance getting the town fully open again.

There is a lot of confusion about the Gaben because it shows as closed on Google Maps.

EVERYONE, please take a moment to report it as open.

In Google Maps, find the Gaben and tap on the no entry sign, and you will have an option at the bottom to report if it is open or not - do it for each along that stretch.

Please Shop locally to keep your brilliant little town going.

It really is a case of use it or lose it for all the town’s businesses right now.

The closed road is affecting footfall dramatically.

Once the shops are gone they are gone forever.

The best way to ensure you continue to have a post office in the town is to buy something from the shop. If the shop goes so does the post office.

So buy your greeting cards or newspapers or sweets from us rather than the big multinationals like COOP or Tesco. Even if it’s one purchase a week.

All the amazing independent businesses in town need your continued support.

A little over 24 hours after starting, our Facebook ad has reached 9,862 people on the Island.

We can't do much, but if only 10 percent of them stop by our little slice of heaven it'll help massively.

So keep posting them photos and checking in to where you're having lunch. Let's gallybag the hell out of it and let everyone know that !

We've just published some Facebook ads to indicate the same - it's not much but right now everything helps.

Post about your favourite Ventnor spots to your timeline, share some of the amazing events that are always happening, set your profile pictures to this image (EVEN IF YOU LIVE IN SHANKLIN WE LOVE YOU REALLY!).

We're the islands best kept secret and some secrets are worth shouting and about.
