The Brand Room isn’t about turning up for one nice headshot and disappearing again.

It’s 12 months of showing up.

The gorgeous face behind Hair by Nicole, based at Kiss Curls in the beautiful little Ribble Valley in the village of Chatburn.

Nicole is honestly just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Her energy is gorgeous, her smile is infectious and can we please talk about that HAIR?!

This whole session was so much fun. We giggled, got the scissors out, turned on the wind machine and created something a little bit cute, a little bit quirky and a little bit edgy.

And bloody hell, did we do it 🧡 Nicole, you are an absolute dream. Go and check this gorgeous girl out ✂️✂️✂️

This might not look like a business post, but it is one of the biggest I will ever tell 🥹

Two years ago, I started Mounjaro. Since then, I have lost eight stone, but what I have gained is so much bigger than a number on the scales.

Before this journey, my body hurt constantly. I was exhausted and couldn’t walk up the stairs at home without becoming out of breath. I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror and I spent a lot of time hiding.

That followed me into my business too.

I knew I was good at what I did, but I didn’t always have the confidence to show my face and own it. Mounjaro quietened the food noise and gave me space to help myself. I moved my body, ate proper food and slowly started feeling like me again.

As my body became stronger, so did my voice.

I put myself in the photos, spoke on camera and shared my ideas instead of talking myself out of them. I stopped making myself smaller.

And from that confidence came The Brand Room.

A 12-month journey helping women in business stop hiding and start showing up. Through photos, videos, honest conversations and support, I now help other women find the confidence I spent years trying to find in myself.

The Brand Room came from everything I have lived through. I know what it feels like to hate the camera, doubt yourself and wonder who wants to hear from you. I also know what can happen when you show up anyway.

Mounjaro hasn’t built my business. It hasn’t done the gym classes, created The Brand Room or taken the scary steps.

But it gave me the quiet and breathing room to do those things for myself.

It isn’t for everyone. It is a prescription with side effects, and it should come with proper medical care. But I will never be ashamed of the part it has played in my story.

I have lost eight stone, but I have gained my health, confidence, voice and a business that feels more like me than ever before.

And now I get to help other women stop hiding too.

I created The Brand Room because one photoshoot was never going to be enough. Not when your business is growing, when your confidence is changing & when your message is getting clearer and you are finally becoming the woman who is ready to be seen.

The Brand Room is a 12-month visibility experience for women in business who are bloody good at what they do, but need the content, confidence and support to make sure everybody else knows it too… the girls inside it are everything.

They are growing together. Learning together. Sharing ideas, filming content, having the real conversations and giving each other the push to actually go and do the thing.

They are not just collecting pretty photos 🧡 They are building a bank of gorgeous, purposeful content across the whole year. Content that shows their personality, their expertise and the story behind their business.

Because we change over 12 months, our businesses change, our confidence changes, our ideas change & our hair definitely changes 😂

The woman who walks into The Brand Room at the beginning will not be the same woman standing there at the end ✌🏻That is exactly why it lasts for a year.

Real visibility is not one post, one photoshoot or one brave week of showing your face. It is learning how to keep showing up, tell your stories and allow people to know you, trust you and remember you.

This is photography, content, accountability, learning, community and one hell of a girl gang wrapped into one experience.

The Brand Room is not about pretending to be more successful. It is about finally showing people just how bloody good you already are.

And once you have felt what it is like to be surrounded by women who want to see you win, you will wonder why you ever tried to do business alone.

Things I’ve learnt after years of photographing babies and families…

Babies don’t always sleep.

Toddlers don’t give a s**t about my carefully planned photos 😂

And there is nearly always a dad who tells me within the first five minutes that he hates having his photo taken.

And do you know what?

None of it matters.

You don’t need a perfectly behaved family to have beautiful family photographs.

You need your family. Exactly as they are right now.

The chaos. The cuddles. The tiny details. The personalities. Even Dad pretending he absolutely does not want to be there and then secretly loving the photos afterwards 😂

That’s the good stuff.

Come as you are.

You don’t realise how tiny they were… until they aren’t anymore 🧡 Those little fingers. The wispy newborn hair. The tiny nose. The way their whole body fits into your hands.

At the time, you’re right in the middle of it. Feeding, changing, cuddling, trying to remember what day it is 😂 and somehow, without you even noticing, they change.

And this version of them is gone.

That’s the thing about newborn photographs. You’re not really taking them for right now.

You’re taking them for the mum you’ll be in five, ten, twenty years, who would give anything to hold that tiny baby just one more time.

You only get this bit once.

Photograph it. Keep it. Because you can never come back and do it later 🤎

If you’re expecting your baby, get your newborn shoot in the diary before they arrive.

STOP THE SCROLL… Can we just talk about connection in an image for a second?

Because THIS is it 🥹 When I showed this Muma and Dada their gallery, I genuinely got goosebumps.

It’s not about everyone looking at the camera or about the perfect pose. It’s that look between two people who have just made a whole little human together 🧡

The hands wrapped around them. The tiny baby right in the middle of you both. The way you look at each other and somehow you can just feel how proud you are. That’s what I’m looking for when I photograph your family.

Yes, I want the gorgeous photo where everyone is looking at me of course I do… but these ones, the ones where you forget I’m there for a second 🙌🏻 These are the ones.

One day that tiny baby is going to look at these photographs and see something they could never remember for themselves.

How little they were, how completely obsessed you were with them and how loved they were, right from the very beginning.

Gosh I love my job 🧡

There’s something about a newborn shoot that always gets me 🫶🏻 It’s not just the tiny toes, the sleepy face or the way they curl into you. It’s watching a whole family fall in love with someone they’ve only just met.

Mum looking at her baby like the rest of the room has disappeared. Dad sneaking in that little kiss. Big brothers trying to work out exactly where they fit into this new version of family life.

That’s the bit I want to photograph 🧡

Not perfection or everyone looking at the camera. Just the little moments that already mean everything, even if you don’t quite realise it yet.

Because babies change so quickly. One minute they fit into the crook of your arm, and before you know it, you’re wondering where that tiny newborn went.

These are the photographs that become more valuable with time.

Not because they’re pretty.

Because they take you straight back there 🤍
