This lovely family told me that they hadn't shared or taken many family photos with their youngest as when he was first born he was in the NICU.

I understand this feeling more than anything. When you post on social media and announce the arrival of your baby, you want it to be happy, you want to celebrate the occasion and you want to share your babies beautiful face with the world. When your newborn is in intensive care you don't feel like the moment should be celebrated and you can't share photos of your babies face as often it is full of wires.

During an extended family photo shoot with 17 people I met this beautiful family. We instantly connected about being NICU parents and how we never imagined entering motherhood this way.

They were so grateful to have these photos and finally be able to cherish their baby and the journey he has already gone through. ✨

Tonight I had a wedding meeting with the loveliest couple!!!! We instantly connected and we could have chatted for hours!

I am so excited to be photographing their wedding later this year. Moments after we ended our zoom call I received the most heartfelt email:

"Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with us this evening.

We just wanted to say how grateful we are for how welcoming and friendly you were. We were both quite nervous beforehand, but you immediately put us at ease and made us feel so comfortable.

After speaking with you, we are even more excited about our wedding day. You are everything we were hoping for in a photographer and we came away feeling completely confident that we have found the right person to capture such an important day for us. I really did adore your website and you can feel the love and care you put into it

Thank you for being so open, approachable and understanding of the kind of wedding we are planning. We really appreciated the time you spent getting to know us and listening to what is important to us. I know we are chatter boxes!

After an amazing two days I’m gutted that today has been cancelled but I think there would be some very wet and soggy people by the end of the day!

Royal Cornwall Show – Saturday Closure

It is with great regret that following a thorough assessment of forecast weather conditions and their impact on the showground, the difficult decision has been taken to cancel the final day of the Royal Cornwall Show on Saturday.

The safety and wellbeing of our visitors, exhibitors, competitors, members, staff, volunteers and contractors has been central to this decision and remains our highest priority.

We recognise how disappointing this news will be for everyone involved, particularly those who had planned to attend, exhibit or compete, and we would like to thank all our stakeholders for their patience, understanding and support.
