Simply because this is one of the reasons I ditched the corporate and came back to weddings.
This image was taken at one of the first weddings I shot after making the switch back, and it’s still one of my all time favourite images.
There's just something so magical about capturing wedding days. You find a beautiful staircase , perfect light, and a beautiful bride who absolutely owns the moment.
Images like this are exactly why I came back. It's a photograph that still makes me smile every time I see it.
A huge thank you to the lovely Emily and the very talented Michelin-starred chef (had to get that in 😄) Adam Degg for trusting me to capture your day.

What do I think about styled shoots? The simple answer is I don’t really know as I've never done one.
Before anyone jumps on me, I'm totally not against them at all. I think they're brilliant for networking, meeting suppliers, and getting creative. They've just never really been my thing.
I've always preferred real weddings, real couples, real emotions, real moments, and yes, real British weather.
Maybe that's also why I don't have the biggest following compared to photographers whose grids are full of styled shoots and perfectly curated content. Real weddings aren't always "Instagram perfect" but they're real, and that always has, and always will matter to me.
It's also why I'm very careful about supplier recommendations. If I recommend someone, it's because I've seen them work on a real wedding day, how they treat couples, and how they contribute to making the day perfect.
A styled shoot might tell me someone can create beautiful work. A real wedding tells me whether I can trust them enough to recommend them to my couples.
Will I do one someday? Maybe. I never say never to anything.
But for now, everything you see here is exactly what happened on an actual wedding day.
And honestly, I think my photos speak for themselves. Always grateful to my couples for allowing me to capture and share their day.
