The beautiful stone architecture, intricate stained-glass windows, and peaceful surroundings offered endless opportunities to experiment with light, composition, and perspective.

While our regular programme takes a summer break, members of Ossett District Camera Club are continuing to meet fortnightly for a series of local photo walks.

Last week, we explored Healey Mills and the Calder & Hebble Canal, enjoying a glorious summer evening and no shortage of fantastic photographic opportunities along the way.

The evening was rounded off perfectly with some well-deserved refreshments at The Brewers 1841. 🍻

Some first class images of the Gawthorpe Maypole procession taken by our very own Tom Stevens.

The May Day celebrations on the 2nd May started with a colourful mile-long procession through the streets of Gawthorpe and Ossett, honouring a community tradition that has taken place for over 150 years.

Thousands of enthusiastic athletes joined in the Rob Burrows Marathon & Half Marathon last weekend.

The high-profile race, organised by the not-for-profit sporting events company Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All in partnership with Leeds City Council, raised vital funds for MND research, as well as a host of other charities.

It was a fantastic day, enhanced by glorious sunshine that undoubtedly drew even more spectators to attend and lend their encouragement and support.

💥Come along to our Annual Exhibition in the amazing Roof Space at Salts Mill in Saltaire.

Saturday 2nd to Monday 4th May 11am - 4pm.

We are part of the Saltaire Arts Trail Saltaire Inspired so there will be lots of other things to see.
