Monkey temple, Jaipur.
A valley with a number of temples and lots of monkeys.
Met a lovely man who lived very simply with a cat. Had lived with his guru and stayed there when his guru passed on.
Lovely, serene, contented man. One of the many people we met who left an indelible impression upon us about the simplicity of life.

Observatory established by Rajput King Sawai Jai Singh 2. Completed 1734 including largest stone sundial.
Fantastic place to visit. Only only place on reflection to have had a guide.

A LONG time between posts.
A true WONDER.
Visited the Taj Mahal at insistence of son and daughter in law as my wife and I were not that interested. Glad we listened to those in the know.
The "Romance" of the place was lost on me but the magnificence of the place is absolutely amazing even though it costs 10 times more to enter as a "foreigner". But for that you do get freee paper overshoes, a bottle of water and free access to the toilet !!
