Call me weird but I always love the blurry shots best. Movement is the key to showing a couple’s connection. Sometimes they speed things up…sometimes I slow the shutter down… and sometimes the mix is perfect for my favourite kind of shot.

Ok so number 4 is not blurry… but I love it.

One of those gems hidden in the depths of a much loved gallery. Texture, colour, pattern, light, action, the haze of a spirited schindig. I always feel there is a lot of pressure around reception dance floor shots, trends to follow etc. But I am always happy when the shots I deliver remind me of how it actually FELT to be there on that night. Those are the memories and photographs that will bring a smile in years to come. And that after all, is what it’s all about.

Fresh fruit on a wedding morning…this is what T’s parents had out in the kitchen during bridal prep…’a funny shot to take and include in a wedding gallery’ some might say…but for me, I don’t know if it was the mix of fruit or the sunshine bathing it, but to me it spoke of optimism. The fresh optimism of a young couple embarking on the complex and intriguing journey that is marriage. Of course there was the bonus of a lovely splash of colour at the start of their gallery. Who wouldn’t want that.

Some of my favourite scenes from E&O’s London elopement. Stylish, honest, quiet, unposed, intimate, real. There are often lots of words used to describe what type of photographer you might want to book for your day…these are the words I would choose to describe my work. These are the words that matter to me, and the words I carry with me into your day to guide me in photographing all the moments that matter.

Enjoy this window into what was just a single moment of a full and beautiful day. They of course do not show you the story of the whole day, but I believe this single moment does show you the essence of these two lovebirds as they calmly breathed in this new chapter of their lives together.
