Last chance to visit my exhibition at ! Photos of an underground WW2 bunker, on display in a underground WW2 bunker 😂

The exhibition was scheduled to end on January but it's been extended until the Wartime Weekend on the 12th-13th. Lots of fun stuff will be happening so if you're interested in WW2 history pop in and have a nose!

Weddings are a photographer's dream - it's easy to get great photos of people when they're dressed in their best, having fun, and often a bit tipsy. Plus I get to eat to all your leftover carrot cake.

I offer a fixed rate of just £100/hr for weddings (single hour only = £175).

And every 5th hour is free! So a half-day (5hrs) is £400, and a full day (10hrs) is £800. These aren't precise, and I never charge extra when things a bit run over time etc, so you don't need to worry about unexpected costs.

Unlike most wedding photographers, I don't just give you a small album of the 'best' photos, but I give you EVERYTHING I can.

This often leads to me hand-editing 1000 or more photos, but it's worth it since it gives you the chance to pick your own favourites to share, print etc. You also get full license to make your own prints, in the digital age there's no good reason why you should be forced into buying from the photographer (except greed). You pay for my time on the day, the finished photos are yours to use how you like.

Lots of fun with drones lately! Here's St John's Beacon, the 32nd tallest building in the country at over 450ft high. Built as a revolving restaurant, but now the lofty home of .

The legal maximum altitude for drones is just high enough to get above the deck level, which meant I could hover close to the tower for some unique views of the city.

PS: fear ye not, shots like this are entirely legal - I use an ultralight drone that's permitted to fly close to people and buildings, and follow all CAA rules 👍

After a few months of lockdown blues it was nice to be contacted by the Sunday Mirror, who took an interest in my photos of Di**le Tunnel.

I had a chat with the tunnel's owner Nigel and we agreed to let them do a story. The features editor, Aaron, got some great quotes ("I was sitting having a digestive biscuit with a cup of tea when the roof came down and flattened a Ford Transit") and turned it into a nice little 2-page spread in today's Sunday People. We also included a photo by my friend and fellow photographer Chris Iles (https://www.chrisiles.co.uk), who visited after the collapse and documented the flattened Transit van - don't mess with tunnels, folks.

As a photographer it's a pleasure to see your photos reach a wider audience and though I've always harboured doubts about the UK papers, the Mirror were easy to work with and really took the time to get every detail down. There were still a few little mistakes, but as a big history and engineering buff I'm just happy to see these forgotten places get some attention.

I told the Daily Mail to sod off though.

It's not a great time to be an event and wedding photographer!

However I'm working on the assumption that the human race will not cease to exist in the next few months and so I will continue to take bookings for 2020 and beyond. But like everyone else, I have a responsibility to do all I can to protect the vulnerable and prevent the NHS becoming overloaded.

So for the time being I'll be taking the government's advice (only time I'll listen to those clowns!) and avoiding unnecessary activity. I'm not shutting up shop - feel free to contact me any time if you need photography services - but I'm not prepared to work at unnecessary/irresponsible social events, or anything else that goes against the measures put in place to limit the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

In the meantime, with less events to shoot I guess I'm going to spend a little more time working on music and catching up on old edits. I may also offer some limited prints of my favourite photos for sale if people are interested.

All the best to everyone affected by this nasty virus, especially those unable to work and those working in difficult environments like healthcare or retail. I'm sure we'll all muddle through.
