Hero the colour pink! Thinking back, pink has never been a thing for me, even as a little girl. I always gravitated towards the blues and greens. But subtle pinks in peonies, fuchsia pinks in foods - they catch your attention and draw your eye in. Just tell me you don't enjoy the deep pinks of raspberries for example!

Pink does tell me summer is upon us - peonies, raspberries, watermelons, and pink lemonade ice lollies - I look forward to all of this!

Hi folks! How are you?? I've sort of been living under a rock for the past few months. Me and Steve took a Golden Retriever puppy in June and it's basically been lack of time for anything else since. He's now getting to a phase where I don't have to watch him 24/7, so will make my way back to posting slowly.

Rachel's challenge made me want to post something super monochrome, so here goes 😊

Pancake day incoming! Do you celebrate? Odd one for me as for an Estonian pancakes are an every-Sunday thing, so if I was to keep to this English tradition, I'd have a serious lack of pancakes in my life haha! How do you have yours though? I love raspberry jam and hazelnut cream (not at the same time), but also love ones with shredded cheese 🤤

Posting today to take a break from my Ukraine-related stories to exercise some creativity and keep my mind active also with more positive things in life, to try to keep the balance. If you're caught up in the news, remember to pause and breathe 🙏🏻

Is there anything better than pasta? I mean.. pasta meets potatoes might be a good contender! What's on your dinner table on this dark February night? Is meat free Monday your thing? I'm still dreaming of these gnocchi lathered in sage butter and pecorino..

You've probably noticed I've not posted much since Christmas again. Must admit there's a lot happening in real life at the moment, starting from studies and work, to bereavement in the family. So I've not been around, but if you've been here for a bit, you already know I sometimes take a little break. And I think we all should! Unapologetically spend time on ourselves.

In other, actually good news.. I've started looking at the branding and website building side of this exciting chapter I am at in my photography. So.. stay tuned!

Oh.. and.. eek! I submitted some photos yesterday for the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year competition. Not that I think my work is THAT good, but if I overthink it this year, I most definitely overthink it every year from here on. So thought I'd better rip that bandaid off early 🤣

Do you have a drink that takes you straight back to childhood? Mine is hot chocolate - something I used to drink every winter morning before school. Being back home in all this snow is bringing all that back right now.

So heat up the milk, melt the chocolate and pop in any candy canes you still have floating about from Christmas 🎄
