We’ve completely sold out of our Eclipse Glasses! 🌑☀️

But don’t let that stop you from enjoying the Solar Eclipse. Why not head over to Wells Cathedral Green on the afternoon of the eclipse, where the Wells & Mendip Astronomers Group will be hosting a special event?

Come along, enjoy the atmosphere, and experience this amazing celestial event with fellow astronomy enthusiasts! ✨🔭

Everyone is invited to our Partial Solar Eclipse viewing party on the afternoon/evening of Wednesday 12th August. Just pop along the the Cathedral Green in Wells to see us.

Weather permitting, come and watch the UK’s best partial solar eclipse since 1999 with the Wells & Mendip Astronomers.

There will be safely filtered telescopes, eclipse glasses and astronomers to guide you.

Children’s activities and experts on hand to keep all the family entertained.

We’ll be there from 3pm for solar observing before the eclipse starts at 6:17pm

This free event is weather dependent. Even the best telescopes can’t see through clouds!
