🎬 3 years of Wyre Films

Three years ago today, Wyre Films began with a simple ambition: to create great films, work with great people and build something that would last.

Three years on, we’ve grown from a small production company into a business working across a wide range of sectors, projects and locations.

From corporate films and campaigns to outdoor productions, events and TV advertising, the last three years have brought some incredible opportunities.

We’ve had the privilege of creating two TV adverts, producing campaign films that have helped raise awareness and funding, and working on projects supported by government funding.

And while the kit gets heavier and the filming days get longer, the reason we started hasn’t changed — we still love making films.

None of this would be possible without the clients, organisations and people who have trusted Wyre Films with their projects.

A huge thank you to everyone who has worked with us, recommended us and supported us over the last three years.

Here’s to the next chapter — and whatever the next three years bring. 🎬

How do you tell the story behind an object that's over 200 years old?

Back in January, we had the privilege of filming at Powis Castle and Garden NT/YG Castell a Gardd Powis for the National Trust. Now we can finally share the finished film, celebrating a remarkable new display that brings some of the castle's most significant South Asian Collection objects into sharper focus.

Visitors can now experience four extraordinary objects up close, including the 18th-century Tiger Head Finial once part of Tipu Sultan's throne, Tipu's sword, a ceramic jug and historic chess pieces. The new state-of-the-art display has been made possible through funding from the Welsh Government's Cultural Transformation Capital Programme.

But this film isn't just about museum objects.

Working alongside curators, academics and researchers, it explores the stories behind these collections and invites visitors to reflect on themes of art, power, exchange, domination and resistance and how these histories continue to shape our understanding of identity, history and each other today.

Another aspect we're particularly proud of is that the film was produced in Welsh and English, helping ensure these important stories could be shared with an even wider audience while celebrating Wales' bilingual heritage.

For us as filmmakers, two things stood out:

🎥 Great heritage films go beyond showcasing a place. They help audiences connect emotionally with the people, stories and history that make it meaningful.

🤝 The best projects are built on collaboration. From producing bilingual content in Welsh and English to working alongside curators, academics and researchers, this project showed how collaboration creates richer, more meaningful storytelling.

A huge thank you to Orpheo UK and Simon Catt for bringing Wyre Films on board, and to the National Trust for trusting us to tell this important story.

We're proud to have played a small part in bringing these remarkable objects—and the conversations they inspire—to a wider audience.

Have you visited a museum or heritage site that completely changed the way you viewed history? We'd love to hear about it.

Sometimes when you're on a shoot, you just have to improvise…

On a recent shoot for Powys County Council, we were fighting an uphill battle with the weather. Not only was it a very windy day, but the sun decided to sit in the worst possible spot for our interviews. We were looking at heavy shadows on one side of the face and blown-out highlights on the other.
We didn't have the luxury of waiting for the clouds, so we got creative with a makeshift flag to balance out the contrast. It's a reminder that no matter how much you plan, you have to be ready to pivot on the spot to get the shot right.

Last week, we shared a behind-the-scenes look at our latest TV advert for Wynnstay Group on S4C… and now it’s time to share the full advert.

It’s always great to see a project come together from those early planning conversations, to filming, to the final cut going live on TV.

A real team effort from start to finish!

TV adverts can be created around a range of budgets to suit the client.

Whether it’s a larger production with a full crew or a smaller, more agile team, we can scale the approach to fit what’s needed without compromising on quality.

Huge thanks to everyone involved in bringing this one to life.

We’re really proud of how it turned out.

Take a look at the full advert below 👇

It’s live! 🎬 Our latest TV advert for Wynnstay Group is now airing on S4C.

Created to promote the business during the upcoming lambing season, it connects with the agricultural community at exactly the right moment in the farming calendar.

TV is a unique way to tell a story every second matters. We focused on creating a message that feels true to Wynnstay’s brand while making the most of TV’s reach and impact.

Seeing businesses embrace multi-channel campaigns is exciting. TV sits strategically alongside digital content, strengthening brand presence, credibility, and audience engagement.

Huge thanks to the Wynnstay team for trusting us looking forward to bringing more brands to TV in the future!

If TV advertising is on your radar this year, let’s talk about what’s possible.

Proud to have produced this film for Busy Bees Childcare 🐝 celebrating their commitment to growing the next generation of early years professionals. Amazing to see the impact this programme is having across the UK, and even better to help tell that story through video. 🎬

Last week was incredible! We had the opportunity to work on our first National Trust video production project.

The project involved some beautiful lighting, a turntable, and, of course, some kick-ass lenses and cameras. While an object spinning on a turntable might seem simple, getting the lighting just right is what brings the artifact to life.

What made the experience truly special was seeing how all the pieces came together setting up the shots, experimenting with angles, and capturing the essence of the space.

By the end of the project, seeing the final footage come to life was an incredibly rewarding moment and reminded us why we love creating video content.

A huge thanks to all the teams involved your creativity, support, and collaboration made this an experience we’ll never forget!

Why haven't we posted in a while?..
It's not because the business is failing in fact, it's quite the opposite. Posting simply hasn't been our priority because client projects have taken priority.

Collaboration has been a huge part of why this business works. Over the past few months, we’ve been involved in some major projects with a global client. On the surface, we might look like your typical one-man video producer, but that's not always the case. For certain projects and clients, the team scales up depending on what's required.
How many interviews are needed in a day? How much B-roll needs capturing? Sometimes these demands require a larger team to deliver within tight deadlines.
What we are really saying is that we can offer services for projects of all sizes.

We also would like to say a massive thank you to Amy Hill and Callum Clowes for their recent support what a team!

Owen Tetley thanks for your amazing photos

This year, Wyrefilms were fortunate to work with Invertek Drives and it’s becoming one of our most rewarding collaborations.

Why? Three words: trust, collaboration, and openness.

Producing corporate videos with a human, story-driven feel can be tricky, especially for global brands.

The intention to “do things differently” can often fade as projects progress, replaced by safe, familiar formats.

Not here.

From the start, the Invertek Drives team placed their trust in us, giving us the space to tell authentic stories, capture the real people behind the technology, and showcase the culture in a way that feels genuine.

The project below is a perfect example. Rather than a simple sit-down interview with no b-roll, we followed Ollie’s journey from apprentice to product support engineer, showing how Invertek’s apprenticeships, graduate roles, and T-Level opportunities can kickstart careers in a world-class engineering environment.

His story took us from the shop floor to the global stage, including his experiences studying, travelling to America, and continuing his education while working.

The result is a film that’s more than just recruitment content it’s a celebration of opportunity, growth, and ambition.

We’re more than just a camera crew. We’re a full production partner, and partnerships like this prove what’s possible when creativity and trust come together.
