Was great to be part of this exhibition this time last year, celebrating Glasgow, my home town ❤️

Thrilled to share the news of our next main exhibitions celebrating Glasgow past and present, from an insider’s viewpoint, which run from 19th July until 5th October 2025. In ‘Glaswegians’, we present 52 portraits from Cranhill Arts’ seminal project of the same name, paired with the vibrant poster works by Alistair McCallum and Jane Carroll, made as part, and in support of, various civic campaigns, protests, and events reflecting the surge of creativity in Scottish culture in the 80s and 90s, which finds its mirroring in the community voices of today. ‘The Scene from Within’ includes unseen work by Gerry D’Ambrosio; a rare social document of Glasgow in the 1970s from Keith Ingham and Malcolm R Hill; and an exploration of the changing social landscape through portraiture of an area of Glasgow’s East End, by Mandy Edwards. These provide an important social record of places and people affected by urban redevelopment and regeneration.
These interlinked exhibitions are complimented by ‘A Window on Glasgow’, in Gallery 103 which opens on the same day – more on this soon.
Opening Reception - 19th July, 2-4pm.
