Turnstone (Arenaria interpres).

Attention all beach-goers and nature enthusiasts! Have you heard of turnstones? These fascinating birds are a common sight along rocky shores and sandy beaches around the world.

With their unique ability to turn over stones and other debris in search of food, these small, plucky birds have earned their name as the "turnstones" of the avian world.

But turnstones are much more than just skilled foragers. They are also renowned for their striking plumage, with intricate patterns of black, white, and chestnut-brown that make them a true delight to observe.
