You wouldnโ€™t believe that 99% of the people Iโ€™ve captured are uncomfortable with having their photo taken. These people look at my work and assume that everyone else is super confident and comfortable, but this just isnโ€™t the case. At some point I have an honest conversation with my subjects and share that all I see are the smiles lines of joy and blushing from being with loved ones. I donโ€™t see it as rosacea and worrying signs of ageing, like they do. Best advice truly is to fake it, pretend youโ€™ve been chosen to be on the cover of Vogue. Inner acceptance sometimes starts with effort, but itโ€™s worth it!โฃ

Iโ€™ve had a long break from Instagram and the pressure involved in keeping updated all the time. Iโ€™ve been focusing on background admin (new website is in the works) and chatting with couples about their upcoming weddings! It always amazes me that people are still in love with what Iโ€™m doing even though Iโ€™ve been silent on socials ๐Ÿ™Œ โฃโฃ

As a creative I know that I need to feel inspired to do my best, so when Iโ€™m struggling I know I need to rest. My energy levels were so low after last summers wedding season (I got glandular fever) and then just as I was getting over the fatigueโ€ฆ I got covid. I had all of the symptoms, but the lasting fatigue and brain fog is nothing like Iโ€™ve ever experienced before. So as Iโ€™m slowly recovering Iโ€™m working on previous shoots that I havenโ€™t shared yet to get my inspiration back! More coming soonโ€ฆโฃ

Iโ€™ve missed pre-wedding shoots so much! Giving people the chance to relax and get used to being in front of the camera is a must for anyone. Due to the pandemic I havenโ€™t had the chance to meet a lot of my couples before theyโ€™ve booked me, so itโ€™s extra special when I get to meet beforehand especially before such an important event. โฃ

The inspiration for the shoot was pre-raphaelite but with a modern eco-conscious twist. All flowers are sourced locally, dresses handmade from sustainable fabrics with cruelty free makeup and styling. Oh and even eco friendly mini cakes ๐Ÿฐ โฃ

Capturing authentic moments is so much better than those traditional uncomfortable poses. Allowing my couples the time to relax on their wedding day is so important, the time goes so fast. So taking at least half an hour to hang out with me and my camera is so amazing. Just be your true self, donโ€™t worry about how youโ€™ll look ๐Ÿ™Œโฃ
