📸🏆 A GREAT WAY TO START THE RECOVERY PROCESS! 🏆📸

What better way to start my recovery from surgery than with some fantastic news… another award! 🎉🙌

This one is for a photograph of the amazing Terry, who I’ve featured here previously. It’s always a pleasure working with Terry and creating images that capture personality, character and something a little different. 📸✨

And although I’ve been fortunate enough to receive a fair few awards over the years, they are NEVER taken for granted. Every award still means a huge amount to me because behind every image is time, creativity, planning and, most importantly, an amazing person willing to step in front of my camera. ❤️

Just a quick update to let you know that I’ll be unavailable tomorrow as I’m having surgery. 🏥
As you can see from the image… apparently even photographers need a little time in the workshop! 😂📸

☀️ Missing those warm summer evenings already… 🌅💍

We really were spoiled with the weather this year! Although I have to admit, while I was shooting this engagement session, I wasn’t exactly loving the heat! 😂🥵

Looking back now, though, I absolutely loved this shoot. There’s something special about those long summer evenings — beautiful golden light, relaxed moments and that gorgeous natural glow that makes an engagement photoshoot so magical. ❤️

This is exactly why I love photographing couples. It’s not just about taking beautiful photographs; it’s about creating timeless memories that tell your story. 📸✨

🌌📱 EVER WANTED TO TRY ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY? 📱🌌

A couple of years ago I ran a very basic Introduction to Astrophotography session, helping people understand the fundamentals of photographing the night sky — from camera settings and focusing, to navigating and finding your way around the stars. ⭐🌙

Well… with the darker evenings not too far away, I’m thinking it’s time to do it again! 🚀

And here's the best bit…

You don't need thousands of pounds worth of camera equipment to get started. 📸

For this introductory session, the minimum you need is a phone and a tripod. That’s it! 🙌

We'll look at:
✨ Understanding the night sky
✨ Finding your way around the stars
✨ Basic camera/phone settings
✨ Long exposures
✨ Light pollution
✨ Tripod technique
✨ How to start capturing the Milky Way and night sky
✨ Tips for improving your astrophotography

Now, before anyone gets too excited… 😂

DON'T EXPECT TO CAPTURE IMAGES LIKE THIS STRAIGHT AWAY! 🤣🌌

The image accompanying this post is the result of experience, planning, equipment, processing and plenty of patience. The aim of the session is to give you the knowledge and confidence to start your own journey.
