Emma & Scott’s Poole Guildhall Wedding 💍
A couple of weeks ago, on the Friday of August Bank Holiday weekend, I was back at the lovely Poole Guildhall for Emma and Scott’s wedding.
This one was particularly nice for me because I’d photographed the girls previously on a family portrait shoot, so it was lovely to see them again — this time dressed up and playing a very important part in Mum and Dad’s wedding day!
Emma and Scott chose my 2-hour wedding photography package, which was a great fit for their smaller, relaxed celebration.
Emma had also put together a mood board before the wedding and wanted to make use of the characterful streets immediately around Poole Guildhall. It’s something I really enjoy because you don’t always need to travel somewhere spectacular for couple photographs — sometimes the streets, architecture and light right outside the ceremony venue give you everything you need.
We had some fun with the girls, some relaxed couple photographs and a little wander around the cobbled streets before everyone headed down towards Poole Harbour for their small reception at The Quay pub.
The weather had been rather changeable, with showers around during the day, but we completely lucked out with ur photography window — plenty of blue sky and sunshine!
A lovely example of just how much can be captured in a couple of hours when the day is kept simple and relaxed.
If you’re planning a smaller wedding, registry-office ceremony or intimate celebration, shorter photography packages are available through Dorset Wedding Photos.
📅 Dates are booking for 2027 and I’m also taking bookings for 2028.
