One of my favourite things about photographing weddings? Watching flower girls experience the day.

No pressure. No posing. Just curiosity, excitement, and the occasional dash down the aisle at exactly the wrong moment.

For couples who don't love being the centre of attention, these unscripted moments often capture the feeling of the day better than anything else.

The mood of the day? YAY!

Fun, laughter and memories that last a lifetime. If you're searching for a wedding photographer who captures genuine moments, I'd love to chat about your wedding plans.

The photographs that people become most attached to are rarely the ones they expected.

They’re often the picture of a parent laughing, a friend crying during the speeches, or a relative they don’t get to see very often.

That’s because weddings aren’t just about celebrating a relationship. They’re about gathering the people who have helped shape it.

As a documentary wedding photographer, those are the moments I’m always looking for. The real interactions. The small gestures. The people who mean the most to you, simply being themselves.

Those photographs tend to grow in value with every passing year.

As a wedding photographer, I see first-hand how the smallest details can have the biggest impact.

The right flowers don’t just decorate a space; they connect the different parts of your wedding day and help create a cohesive story.

When a florist has a genuine eye for detail, every arrangement feels purposeful. The colours work together, the styling feels effortless, and the finished result reflects who you are as a couple.

For those planning a wedding that feels calm, personal and beautifully considered, finding suppliers who value the details is always worth it.

For the couples who’d rather be fully present than performing for the camera
Your wedding day doesn’t have to feel loud or staged to be beautiful. The quiet moments, the relieved smiles, the deep breaths and happy embraces after it’s all over — those are the memories worth holding onto.
As a Yorkshire documentary wedding photographer, I’m there to capture your day as it naturally unfolds, so you can focus on each other instead of the lens.

I always enjoy photographing the slower pace of a drinks reception — especially when there are garden games scattered across the lawn.

There’s something quietly brilliant about them. They bring out personality without putting anyone on the spot. A competitive streak here, a shared joke there, children darting between players. It all adds texture to your story.

For couples who value a relaxed atmosphere, these moments often become some of the most treasured images in the gallery — natural, unforced and full of life.

If you’re organising a Yorkshire wedding and want photography that captures the feel of the day as much as the key events, I’d love to hear from you. Enquire now to check your date.

Choosing your best man isn’t just about tradition—it’s about love, trust, and the people who quietly hold space for you. I love being part of moments where that connection comes to life: simple, thoughtful shots of rings, hands, and meaningful details that tell a story of friendship and care.

It’s in these small, curated touches that life feels beautifully intertwined, and your celebration becomes more than a day—it becomes a memory held in the heart.

For couples who cherish intimacy over spectacle, it’s these subtle connections that speak the loudest.

As a wedding photographer, I get to witness so many meaningful moments, and some of the most heartfelt often come with four legs and a wagging tail. Dogs aren’t just pets — they’re family. They’ve been there through everyday life, long walks, quiet evenings and big milestones, so of course they belong at your wedding too.

Whether they’re walking down the aisle, greeting guests, or sneaking cuddles during portraits, having your dog there makes the day feel even more yours. And honestly, those moments always end up being some of the most loved photographs.

Behind every wedding detail is a decision made with care.
The stationery, the florals, the finishing touches — all chosen to reflect the couple and their day. Photographing these moments is about honouring the time, thought and love that went into planning them.
