📸 Gwrhyd Chapel, Cefn Gwrhyd
I ended up staying overnight at the nearby stone quarry due to a lack of driving hours. It was eerily quiet overnight, the sort of quiet where you really notice every sound around you.
It was wet, windy and absolutely pitch black with the wind really picking up across the moor top.
Standing there beside the chapel and graveyard in those conditions made for a pretty eerie experience. There’s something about being somewhere so isolated in the early hours, with nothing but the sound of the wind and rain around you.
During daylight, the place has a completely different feel peaceful, weathered and incredibly atmospheric.
