Good morning! ☀️

I've just realised it's been a little while since I last posted... I think this lovely hot weather has got to me! 😊

Today's photo is from a recent newborn session, but rather than a traditional posed shoot, this was a relaxed lifestyle session in the family's home.

We spent time chatting, interacting and simply enjoying the moment, while I quietly captured all those natural, precious memories as they unfolded. Those are often the moments that mean the most.
The lovely family have kindly given me permission to share this image, and I couldn't resist. I just love how their beautiful dog is keeping a watchful eye over baby, while baby is perfectly content to yawn away in the sweetest sleepy state. It's such a gorgeous reminder that the best photographs are often the ones you never plan.

✨ Prom season is always such a joy to photograph. ✨

A huge thank you to Claire and her lovely family for asking me to capture such a special milestone, and for kindly allowing me to share this beautiful image.

There's something so special about prom evenings. I love the excitement in the air, seeing everyone looking their absolute best, and witnessing families come together to celebrate such an important moment. It's the perfect send-off as these young people finish one chapter of their lives and begin the next.

What a lovely day in the studio today! 🎂📸

I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful cake smash session with a gorgeous family who travelled all the way from Fareham to my studio here in Whitchurch, Hampshire.
It never stops amazing me when families choose to travel such a distance to have their photographs taken with me. I truly appreciate every family that trusts me to capture these special memories, and it means so much that people are willing to make the journey.

Yesterday was certainly a hot one!

☀️ Once the boys had finished college and school, we jumped in the car and headed down to the coast for some fresh sea air. What we didn't expect was to be greeted by the thickest sea mist! The foghorn was sounding and visibility was incredibly limited – it felt like something from another world.

I captured this photograph during our walk. No filters, no editing tricks, just exactly as my camera saw it. The figures emerging through the mist looked almost ghostly, and the whole atmosphere was quite magical and unforgettable.

Today's post is a little different from my usual photography content.

It still involves photography, but this time it's about my oldest son.

Recently, he's developed a real passion for photography and has started creating images featuring his Star Wars figures in beautiful locations and landscapes. His aim is to make the figures look as lifelike as possible, placing them in scenes that could easily belong in the Star Wars universe.

It's not something I pushed him into—it's entirely his own interest and creativity, and it's been great to see him develop his skills and enthusiasm for it.

I know it's a bit of a niche area of photography, but if you're a Star Wars fan, enjoy creative photography, or know someone who might appreciate what he's doing, I'd be really grateful if you could take a look at his page and follow along with his journey.

✨ Tiny fingers, tiny toes, and a lifetime of love ahead. ✨

As a newborn photographer, I never take for granted the privilege of capturing these precious first moments. The newborn stage is incredibly brief, changing from day to day, which makes these images so meaningful for families to treasure for years to come.
