One run of the mill day last autumn, while mindlessly scrolling Instagram I came across a reel showcasing the tiny mosaic of an Italian island, Procida. I’d never heard of it before, but the 30 second clip had me head-over-heels-couldn’t-stop-thinking-about-it-obsessed. Within a week I’d booked flights and ferry tickets for my family and I, and proceeded to spend the next six months watching reel after reel and YouTube after YouTube about this magical place in the bay of Naples. By the time the trip came around earlier this month I can only liken the feeling I had as to how I felt on Christmas Eve in the 90s 😂
And honestly it blew us away. It met and exceeded my expectations. I went for the pastel marina and fell for everything else. The light, the people, the food, the tiny lanes, the varied stunning landscape. The smell of wisteria, the perfect spring temperatures, crystal clear waters and lemon 🍋 everything!
We stayed in an amazing , .procida - which had so much gorgeous space for O and E to explore and play. We’ve never had a garden anywhere we’ve lived, so this was truly gold. The accommodation itself was beautiful, so tasteful and chic, with dreamy views of the sea, while the hosts were also amazing recommending restaurants, booking us transport - committed to ensuring we truly had the best stay.
I loved our time in Procida more than I can say. I cried on the 6.30am ferry when we left 🙃 It was the most special family holiday we’ve had and all I can think about is when can we go back.
I’ve not even scratched the surface with editing my photos, I took hundreds (thousands 🤪) - but I can’t wait any longer to share so here’s a handful from one of the best weeks of my life ✨
