Reflecting on my first year working holiday experience in Aus!

So I feel like a lot of people on a Working Holiday Visa in Australia are not aware of this at all…

I just got a $3,372 AUD tax return (over £1700!) thanks to

After working in Australia for only 7 months I found out I could potentially become an Australian Tax Resident and get my first $18,200 AUD tax free!

If you are from the U.K., Germany, Japan and a select few other countries you may also meet the criteria to become an Australian tax resident!

And yes this means you could get a tax return just like I did, instead of being taxed 15% at the working holiday maker rate!

Don’t worry if you do not meet the criteria to become an Australian tax resident as you may still be able to claim back on things like uniform, equipment and training courses…

Feel so grateful I got to work in the Whitsundays for 6 months with one of the best views!

I grew a lot in this busy job in Australia and learned so much about myself and was able to become more confident through all the highs and lows!

Working in one of the busiest venues in Airlie beach was challenging but I loved it all and can say it was one of the best jobs I ever had and I loved those I got to work with and meet along the way!

Love a good solo hike in the Whitsundays on my day off work!

Whenever I have a day off in Australia I always spent it out in nature either on a new walk or adventure, very good for the soul!!
