Serene calm conditions over in Anglesey this morning. It was bloomin muggy af! For anyone that’s done my course you’ll know about dew point now 🥵. But with that the morning sea mist lingered in the background with the mountains of Snowdonia peeking above.

Alport Castles in the Peak District. It’s an oldie but a goodie, and this time of year is perfect for the sun setting out across this irregular terrain which was formed from a land slip.

A landscape version of my previous shot of Dunmore Head. It looks like im several meters above the little pink flower in this one, im actually at about chest level, whereas on my previous image I was centimetres away. Really shows the power of a wide angle lens.

Crashing waves at Dunmore Head. Every 4th or 5th waves was a big one which hitting the rocks would come crashing right over the camera, so it was a case of keeping your eyes peeled and grabbing the tripod quickly to move out the way. Got to be in it to win it 😂

It’s that time of year the trees are full and lush, the bluebells and garlic are out, and the cottongrass is swaying on the moors. Can’t say I’ve taken full advantage of if this year, life being life has taken priority, but I’m hoping to catch a bit of it still, there being a few shots in mind here in the Lakes I’ve had my eye on.
This one was from a few years ago in the Peak District.

I was so excited to visit here, and had high expectations for this location. As I came over the hill (no pun intended) my arms went up and I wooped with excitement. I seem to do that a lot when I’m out, but the joys of the great outdoors are second to none, whether it be dramatic scenery, crashing waves, cloud inversions or big fire skies.
