Another fabulous event yesterday with the Wigan Borough Business Awards crew 🤩

It's been a fantastic week of bringing businesses together across Wigan Borough!

From Fubhub Leigh on Wednesday, to our WBBA 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬 & 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 yesterday, and Professionals of Wigan taking place this afternoon, it's been a brilliant reminder of just how strong, supportive and connected our local business community really is. 😊

Yesterday's WBBA event was a fantastic opportunity to bring together our sponsors, partners and ambassadors. The conversations, the collaboration and the genuine support for one another is exactly what WBBA is all about. 👏

It was an honour to photograph the Duchenne UK annual New Horizons conference again over the weekend.

What an inspiring few days it’s been amazing to see and hear the work that is being carried out and meet and reunite with so many lovely families.

🎉🏆🤩 OH WHAT A NIGHT! 🤩🏆🎉

I had the privilege of capturing the Wigan Borough Business Awards on Saturday and what a night it was!

It was amazing to see so many local businesses, Charities and CIC’s come together and celebrate the success all within this wonderful borough I get to call home. Massive congratulations to all of the finalists and winners! I imagine it wasn’t easy for those judges to decide.

A huge well done to everyone involved in making this awesome event a night to remember! Sue, Jackie, Lisa & Jamie of Fubhub & Professionals of Wigan aka the amazing team behind this event, you should be so proud!

Throwback vibes… 🎞️

So you may have seen a few peaks recently from what can only be described as an epic brand shoot with the fantastic and gorgeous couple behind Haynes & Haynes Commercial Finance.

Having the opportunity to shoot at a historic Wigan location, now known as cottonworkswigan inspired me to dig out some old kit aka the Bronica which, in case you’ve never heard of is an analogue medium format camera and uses 120 film, each frame measuring 6x4.5cm which has a little while ago produced beautiful results.

The last time I used this camera was probably around 20 years ago for one of my early solo Weddings, it was also used a lot for my final uni project to capture 100 people on black and white film (1 roll of film per person all processed by me! I really miss those darkroom days!)

Using old film that had likely been sat for around 20 years in that camera bag was a bit of a risk, I shot mostly digital but this was a bit of an experiment I was pretty excited about on the day and a bonus for the shoot.

So today I received the processed negatives in the post and opened the link from the hi res scans from my very trusty lab and, miraculously here we have the results (of course with a teeny little lightroom tweak) but I’m loving the vintage grainy results! What do you think? Would you book a combined session with a mix of analogue & digital?
