It’s a record!!!! Our first club competition of the season had a record 106 entries! So many that it had to be reduced to 2 entries per person for each of the 2 sections. Even so the judge will have to keep an eye on the clock while taking about each image this coming Tuesday evening.

Thank so much to Wilmslow Town Council for this generous grant. We are looking forward to seeing all the images from the community in our community photo competition - time to start making those images for entry, ready for when entry opens later this year.

Wilmslow Photography Club has been awarded a Wilmslow Town Council Community Grant towards the cost of purchasing a new laptop for its meetings.

This coming Tuesday we’ll have top photographer Tim Pile with us giving his talk – “Lulu, a Modern Muse”.

That’s Tuesday, 1 April·19:30 – 21:30

This talk follows the artistic journey of Tim Pile and Lulu Lockhart over the last 10 years, always looking for interesting locations and great light, with which they can express themselves and produce a bit of beauty to share with the world. The talk contains images of artistic nudity. It will be both prints and projected images.

Last night saw the judging of competition 5 for this season. Everyone felt the judge was excellent giving great feedback on the prints submitted. Here are the winners from the 2 sections "sport and games" and "open mono". Congratulations to .ob999 and and thanks to all the members for all the excellent images

With one competitions left this year, there are just six points separating first and third place in the overall standings, the final competition should be a tense affair.

Things are going to get emotional at tomorrow’s meeting! That’s because the theme for Tuesday’s competition is ‘Emotions’ 😀

You will have to wait to see those pictures, so in the meantime here’s a picture of the Cheshire countryside a couple of days ago.

Apparently snapped by a club member from an A321 neo. Is that a drone? There’s a DJI neo so probably similar.
