Based in south-west England, he is a photographer, educator and speaker, inspired by light, atmosphere and the ever-changing seasons. Jack Lodge is a professional landscape photographer from Wimborne, Dorset in the South West of England, UK. Through his landscape photography, Jack strives to photograph the true beauty of each season and capture the light as it dances across the landscape. His land

scape photography varies from misty bluebell woods, to dramatic seascapes on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast. Landscape photography is Jack’s way of being able to capture moments in time, landscapes which tell a story that will last forever. He is a firm believer in printing his work, bringing the digital art form to life through tactile papers, and has seen his prints, box sets, and calendars shipped internationally. You can join Jack on one of his Dorset landscape photography workshops to focus on capturing the seasons, or book onto some 1-2-1 tuition where you will get his undivided attention out in the field.

Normal service resumes today, after giving you all something to think/talk about yesterday with some shaky camera movements that divided opinion 😂

Safe to say I've put the bottle of wine down (JK I don't even drink) and here's an image from ANOTHER avenue on the same day - this time the focus was primarily on the beautiful straight beeches and shadows as we say goodbye to summer.

I'm 100% expecting META to tag this as AI due to cloning out a branch on the bottom left corner - lovely to be put in the same category as some fully generated artwork 🙄

Not sure if I'm cool enough to pull off ICM, nor am I probably good enough to even consider this style of photography, but being able to have a play around with different shutter speeds in harsh light is always a fun way to spend an hour or so...

Taken down a very famous avenue of trees but likely not seen in this way before and maybe my last, but the shapes of the bokeh rings and the "painterly" feel to this looks fantastic on some heavy textured paper, so thought it was worth sharing here regardless 😃

Would love to know what you think...

What a city Glasgow is… absolutely love it up here, and can’t thank Wex Photo Video enough for inviting me along to talk at this years summer roadshow 🙏🏼

If you’re in and around tomorrow, my talk is 10:00-11:00 and I’ll be in store for most of the day 😃

The sun is slowly returning to the coast and with some nice clouds starting to fill those empty blue skies, we have so many exciting opportunities arriving 😍

This was taken with my good friend Andy back in September 2023 when we were blessed with an incredible sky down in Swanage, epic conditions and lovely colours 😮‍💨

Although I did take one with a cheesy sunstar, this was actually my favourite, just as the sun creeped above the horizon!

Now it's time to pack the bag and get ready to head up to Glasgow for a few days of talking at the last Wex Summer Roadshow - will I see any there this Fri/Sat?! 😃

After starting at the lighthouse yesterday afternoon, the forecast was constantly changing, so I took the punt to move further West in the chase of light, and thankfully, it paid off 😍

The golden cliffs of West Bay looked incredible in the late-afternoon light , and with the dark grey rain clouds above, rainbows were always on the radar but sadly never materialised (this time) but never say never 🤞🏻

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend wherever you may be!

What a cracking welcome to September and the beginning of Autumn this morning at Old Harry Rocks 😍

I felt a lot of pressure with this one... all will be explained soon, but there was about eight of us who headed out at 04:00 with nothing but cloud and rain on the forecast, thankfully a little break on the horizon provided some beautiful colours and we ended up hitting the jackpot 😮‍💨

A really enjoyable return to the coast, it's been far too long since I've got the filters out for a long exposure, so the cobwebs are well and truly dusted off now...

What better way to spend a Bank Holiday Monday than running wild? 🦊🌿

There’s something about young foxes that seems to perfectly capture that last little bit of summer, endlessly curious, full of character and seemingly incapable of sitting still for more than a few seconds (sounds like me when I'm sat at my desk) 😂

I photographed this little fox cub mid-bound, charging through the grass with all four paws seemingly heading in different directions... I love moments like this where everything comes together for a split second, the raised paw, that brilliant expression and the soft greens and late-summer tones wrapping around it.

Hope all my are having a lovely Bank Holiday Monday! Whatever you’re doing today, I hope you’re attacking it with at least half the enthusiasm of this little one… although preferably with slightly better control of your limbs 😂

FINALLY we get some cloud and well overdue rain, which means one thing... dramatic light, rainbows and/or storm clouds 😮‍💨

Personally, I always get excited when I check the weather forecast and see a sudden change of conditions, whether that's pressure, clouds, wind, precipitation, it means something exciting could happen 🤞🏻

That's why after a pretty disappointing forecast for fog at sunrise didn't materialise, we headed back out in the afternoon and sunset, and wow was it worth it 😍

After setting up this composition about an hour before, I kept glancing at the gap in the sky behind the trees and thought "how epic would it be if the sun pokes through for a few seconds" 👀

Thankfully it did, and we got the last 5 minutes of golden sunset light hitting Horton Tower to give us a little thank you for our efforts in chasing the weather that day 😃
