Dog fox and his kill ...

Walking down the path towards me I luckily had the cover of some long grass and he kept coming closer until he realised I was there.
Heart was in my mouth ...
After some closer inspection I'm thinking he has found a dead deer or fawn as no feathers present.

And now the whole family have had their portraits 🤣

Kestrels, a sleepy snake and a buzzard all pose for the camera as astronomical summer starts.

I'm still not over lastnight...
3 baby kestrels awaiting mothers return ...
Quite possibly my best wildlife encounter to date.
Found surprisingly and photographed respectfully ( me heading to nearest bush as to not alarm or disturb them)

Something pretty mental happened this evening ... 3 baby kestrel sat waiting on mum to return
Didn't bother looking for anything else just sat watching them. 🤯🤩
Just shows magic happens when your not purposely looking
