Best in Show Award
Name: Ralph.

Last month we had our debut exhibit at Paws in the Park, hosted at the Kent Showground. The event spanned two days, drawing large crowds, and the weather couldn’t have been better. We’re excited to return next year!

Choosing the winner for our fun ’Best in Show’ award was no easy task, with so many incredible dogs of all breeds, shapes and sizes. But as we worked on the artwork, one clear winner stood out – Ralph as a Samurai! We think he looks fantastic.

Here’s what Bex had to say about Ralph: “Ralph loves a snooze, cuddles, and to go for a walk. Ralph is best friends with Buddy, and together they love to get up to mischief, and chill out after! Treats and dinner time are his fave!”

Our first ‘Best In Show’ award for 2024🎖

It was another great summer show at Dogstival in the New Forest this year and it was wonderful to meet so many people with their furry friends – it was fun and the weather was perfect!

Our fun ‘Best in Show’ award goes to Summer, we thought she looked amazing in our Frida Pawlo costume, we asked Corinne why she picked this costume and this was her reply:

“Summer is a 4 year old cocker spaniel. She has a wonderful, full of fun but very placid affectionate nature. She also has a little mischievous streak which is why we keep her top knot, it’s part of her personality.
Frida Pawlo suited Summer as she absolutely loves attending the dogstival with the fun that goes with it. The costume has a little festival vibe which is why we chose that one for her, but at the same time shows the calm side of her personality.
The picture has pride of place in our living room and gives the room a lovely splash of colour. Friends and family love the artwork. We are very happy with it. Thank you so much.“

One thing that was immediately clear when we met Rufus was that this was a dog full of energy! 🐕✨

His owners describe him as being more Poodle than Labradoodle and for his character they say “He loves being around people and other dogs but truly loves to spread out across the sofa after long walks chasing sticks and jumping into any body of water he sees”.

For a dog that loves long walks, chasing sticks and jumping into water Black Park was the perfect location for his photoshoot.

The park covers over 500 acres and is popular with walkers and dog owners due to the wide open spaces, dense woodland and large lake with its Lakeside Cafe that is open all year.

With its close proximity to Pinewood Film Studios Black Park has been featured in many film & TV productions such as James Bond films, Monty Python & Harry Potter.

For on-location dog photography it is now our favourite spot! It has multiple photo opportunities - all in one place with good parking – and you can have a cup of tea afterwards! Lovely 🫖

Nellie has melted all of us at the office with her big puppy eyes and big feminine bow! 🥺❤️ As all our illustrations are bespoke we couldn’t help wondering what her personality is like… 🤲🏻

Cai, who ordered his artwork as a present for his mum, kindly painted a picture of her. Nellie is six months old and follows her mum everywhere – even in a backpack to the shops! 🛍

She is a high energy puppy and can almost jump a whopping meter (!) up in the air to make sure she can lick the faces of people she loves.

Nellie has that sparkle in her eyes so we’re not surprised that she is living her best life! ✨
Her somewhat calm demeanour in the illustration, must be after a long day of shopping and licking faces – as she comes across as a calm puppy.

We love a splash of colour in everything we do, but sometimes black and white looks better. We played a game of fetch with Grace and she took off from the riverbank and gracefully flew through the air before landing and making a huge splash in the Thames! 🌊 This photo was taken from a boat we hired ⚓️📸
