Family life isn’t a posed studio shoot, it’s jumping on the sofa, rolling around on the floor, being silly, laughing, cuddling, playing. Family photos tend to consist of selfies, posed standing shots with everyone looking at the camera, or the awkwardly posed, clinical white studio shots, but that’s not family life. What about all of those special intimate moments, the moments which may seem munda

ne but are actually the story of your family life. Cuddles on the sofa, laughs during mealtimes, fun during bath times and snuggles during bed time. I believe that it’s these relaxed, natural and candid moments which should be captured as they show you as a family, raw and real. They tell a story, your story, and are a lot more powerful and meaningful than the awkward “stand up straight and smile at the camera” photos.

We had a guest appearance towards the end of the shoot 🤍 I thought long and hard about what the first photo should be, I initially thought it should be of just Vikki - but our conversations were so centred around this little guy and her journey has evolved in such a way where it was only right to start her series with a photo of the both of them 🤍

What an absolute privilege it was to capture this love story 💕
A welcoming ceremony like no other ceremony. I’ve shot ceremonies for years but this was so different, it was truly magical, extremely sacred, so personal and full of such love. I can’t recommend Holly enough, she was grounded, intuitive, gentle, joyful, and everything in between. The kindest soul - go and follow her and give her a shout if you want your love celebrated in the most special way 💕
