I’ve worked 2 wedding seasons in Edinburgh and this is what I’ve learnt based on my experience as an intimate wedding photographer in Edinburgh and from the experiences of the couples I’ve worked with.
Edinburgh is an incredible city for intimate weddings and for elopements too. The key ois to plan ahead and plan intentionally so your day flows and doesn’t feel rushed or cramped.

Part 3 of my “proof that you’re not awkward in front of the camera. Maybe you just need some gentle direction.” Series

Showcasing how my gently guided couple sessions are mostly about enjoying the experience. My couples go from “we don’t really know what to expect” to “omg that was so much fun”.
And we get to that with no stiff poses, no “what do I do with my hands” and definitely no performing for me.
We go at your pace and it’s so much fun.

At intimate weddings, there’s less people, less noise, less distractions. So it matters how it feels to have me there. Guests and couples are more aware of my presence.

The way I show up to intimate weddings matters just as much as the photos I take.
