It’s our 7th Anniversary ❤️ so I thought I’d share a few things that didn’t quite go to plan for our day 😜
- I ‘burned’ my white flower crowns by pushing them too far to the back of the fridge. I ended up with orange florals instead of white. Luckily my 2 maid of honours ran to a florist & managed to weave in white flowers on the morning of our wedding. No one ever knew 🤫
- I was late 🤦🏻♀️ I insisted on getting ready at my parents instead of getting ready on site & ended up arriving when I should’ve been walking down the aisle 😅 I was so lucky the registrars didn’t have another wedding to escape off too & were happy to start a bit later
- My table foliage kept falling down
- My pampass grass on chair ends was DIY’d by me, & kept flipping around the wrong way
- We fell over in a pile of nettles & thistles just before our first dance. We were doing our sunset portraits & were running together to create a flowing dress in the wind vibe. I said to my husband ‘lift me up & twist me around’. We both tried to pickup 2 different ways causing us both to topple over. Luckily the pain was thin due to the alcohol consumption at this point!
- I had hired decor from a fabulous stylist & when she arrived at the venue she messaged me asking if I’d changed my wedding table vision as the tablecloths were set up differently. Bless her she stayed to right all the table cloths for me
Other things that happened…
- I never had that ‘wow this is the dress’ moment. I had a mix of feelings whilst dress shopping including feeling pressured into buying at 1 shop which was awful.
- We weren’t going to have a wedding cake so my mum offered to make one. My mums cakes taste great but wouldn’t look wedding-ready. A quick call & I secured a cake with a cake maker 😜
- Being bank hol Friday I honestly thought it was going to rain but instead we had the hottest day. Because I was late my poor guests were made to sit in an open courtyard & sweat for longer than intended whilst waiting for my arrival - sorry guys!!
In looking back it was still one of the best days and so personal in so many ways to us 🫶🏼 I would love to do it all again, the exact same 😜 ILY Mr Brown 🤍😍✨
