Posting more isn’t necessarily the answer
If your social media strategy is to post every day for two weeks, get completely overwhelmed and then disappear for a month, you might want to hear this.
Buffer analysed more than 100,000 users in 2025 and found that people who posted consistently tended to get better engagement per post than those who posted sporadically.
Now, that doesn’t mean posting regularly magically makes your content brilliant, but it does suggest that finding a rhythm you can actually maintain is more useful than going all in and then burning out.
So, instead of deciding you’re going to post every single day, try starting with three posts a week.
One that shares something useful,
one that helps people get to know you,
and one that talks about what you offer or how you help.
That’s a much more manageable starting point for most small business owners.
And remember, your marketing doesn’t need to be a sprint. Unless you’re being chased by a bear or lion, in which case, absolutely sprint.
What’s your biggest challenge with posting consistently: finding ideas, finding time or actually getting the posts written? Let me know!
