Some wedding stories begin long before the wedding day 🧡

Tara and Tom and I have been getting to know each other for quite a while now - from their engagement shoot last year to all the little check-ins and conversations along the way.

So when I walked into the beautiful Wootton Hall on Saturday, it didn’t really feel like arriving to photograph a couple I’d been booked to photograph.

It felt like arriving to spend the day with friends.

And that kind of trust is something I never take for granted.

It meant knowing when to step forward, when to give them space, and when a tiny change in energy meant quietly asking, “Are you okay?”

There were so many beautiful things to photograph - Tara looking incredible, an outdoor ceremony surrounded by the people they love, Tom radiating charm and joy, a room filled with flowers and candlelight, and one of the loveliest venues I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. Wootton Hall you are simply incredible - you hold an intrinsic feeling of home and you held this day so beautifully.

But underneath all of it was something much simpler.

✨ Two people who love each other very much, celebrating their life together with the people who matter most ✨

And with little, intentional nods to the people who couldn’t be there, but were very much part of the day too - every thought was full of love 🧡

Tara and Tom - thank you for letting me get to know you. For trusting me with the big moments, the quiet ones, and everything in between.

An incredibly special day for an incredibly special couple.

The people they love most ♥️

That was the heart of Holly and Tom’s wedding.

They wanted a day that was thoughtful, emotive and fun - but above all, they wanted to celebrate the people who had loved them, supported them and been part of their journey.

And they didn’t just say that.

✨They built their day around it✨

Every guest had their own personalised place card, with a little note about what Holly and Tom loved about them.

There were quiet little nods to the people who couldn’t be there.

There were photographs and voice messages, tears and laughter, parents who were completely present, a beautiful outdoor ceremony, wildly gorgeous flowers, and a dance floor that absolutely went off.

But underneath all the beautiful details, the black tie and the champagne bridesmaids, there was something very simple.

These two really, really love their people.

And I think you could feel that everywhere you looked.

Holly and Tom - thank you for trusting me to capture your story. It was an absolute privilege. ♥️

When beautiful details and beautiful moments fuse together beautifully ♥️

Kim and Ash had dreamed of a romantic, editorial, Bridgerton-inspired wedding, and there was certainly plenty of it. Beautiful styling, thoughtful details, an incredible dress, and the ultimate confetti dip kiss that they executed to perfection ✨

But some of the moments I’ll remember most happened when everything became a little quieter.

A Chinese tea ceremony, honouring Kim’s heritage and bringing their families together in a tradition I’d never had the privilege of photographing before.

I watched Kim relax. Dressed in red, surrounded by her family, receiving tea and red envelopes, and watching beautiful gold jewellery being placed on her. ♥️

And behind my camera, I had a little moment of my own.

There is something incredibly special about being invited into a tradition that is not yours to know, and being trusted to witness it with care.

It felt intimate.
It felt joyful.
It felt important.

And then, there was Ash.

Looking at Kim through their beautifully choreographed first dance as though there was nobody else in the room, trying his absolute best to make sure they got the moment they’d practised so carefully. ✨

A busy day with so many incredible moments, but somewhere in between it all, Kim came and sat beside me to breathe. And honestly? I was rather honoured to be her quiet corner for a little while.

Kim and Ash, thank you for trusting me with all of your story. The beautiful, the joyful, the carefully considered, the deeply meaningful. And for letting me witness a little piece of your family story that I’ll carry with me for a long time. ❤️

Harlaxton Manor. A DB5. And a whole lot of love 🩵

Emily and Jack got married at the breathtaking Harlaxton Manor. And it was one of those beautiful days where the setting, the styling and the people come together to create something completely unforgettable.

Emily’s morning was wonderfully relaxed, surrounded by her Mum, Dad and sisters. No fuss - just time together, getting ready, looking after one another and soaking it all in.

And that feeling of family carried right through the day. Jack with his parents and brother, surrounded by friends who had grown up together through thick and thin. There was so much love and connection between both families, woven quietly and intentionally through the celebrations. 🐞

Then there was everything else…

The most incredible florals.
Emily’s stunning dress.
The guys in their tuxes.
An actual Aston Martin DB5, which I now understand is apparently a VERY big deal.

And a moment to recreate an iconic Sean Connery poster that had been proudly displayed on Jacks bedroom wall as a child - which he absolutely nailed 👌🏼

And then there’s Harlaxton itself…

The most incredible place that overflows with beauty: another staircase, another doorway, another piece of architecture, another pool of beautiful light. My little creative brain always has a field day when blessed with this venue.

Then, as the day softened, we disappeared into the grounds for golden hour - just the two of them, their beautiful surroundings and a little space to breathe it all in.

A breathtaking day, filled with beauty, family, connection and so much love. Emily and Jack, thank you for letting me be there to capture it all with you - it was an absolute honour.

And then the party started 🪩

For Beth and John they came from all over the world. Friends and family collectively accumulating thousands of air miles, to celebrate the marriage of these two wonderful souls.

They planned their wedding around having time with the people they love.

And then they absolutely 🔥partied🔥

The sun was blazing.
The drinks were flowing.
The dance floor was heaving.
The flash was ON.

And somewhere between the shouting, singing, dancing, kilt chaos, questionable dance moves and one very enthusiastic dip…

this became my favourite part of their day.

Because this is what they wanted.

Everyone they love.
All in one place.
Having the time of their lives.

Beth and John - weddings deserve to be remembered exactly as they felt. And your day felt like setting love on fire as you partied accordingly, with all your favourite people, on a very hot day. I couldn’t love it more 🪩🔥✨

Nothing ran to time. Everything got done. 🤍

Georgia and Jake at Norwood Park.

A beautiful summers day, a little breeze through the trees, an outdoor ceremony, and a dress that honestly deserves its own paragraph - the most incredible train, more buttons than I could count and, unbeknownst to most, a whole secret sparkly dress waiting underneath for the dance floor. ✨

There were lovely bridesmaids, brilliant groomsmen, one very devoted groom and a surprise singer booked by Georgia to appear during confetti and serenade her new husband with his favourite football anthem.

The timings may have wandered considerably from the original plan…

But everything that needed to happen, happened.

And somewhere amongst all of that, I was reminded again of something I feel incredibly grateful for in this job:

sometimes the most valuable thing I can bring to a wedding isn’t my camera.

It’s calm.

When the schedule stretches, plans change and the day starts moving at its own pace, being the person who can quietly say ‘it’s okay, we’ve got this’ is something I never take for granted.

And then, before we knew it, Georgia and Jake were married.

Classy, elegant, fun - just as they’d hoped for.

And very, very them.

Another beautiful summer wedding at Norwood Park, another beautiful story I had the immense pleasure to capture - Georgia and Jake, thank you.

Some wedding days feel like catching up with friends ✨

Having photographed Rebeka and Matthew’s engagement shoot, I already knew how beautifully they fit together. So arriving at Norwood Park didn’t feel like meeting a couple on their wedding day.

It felt like returning to people I already knew.

Matthew has the kind of humour that quietly lifts everyone around him. Quick-witted, endlessly kind and completely devoted to Rebeka. And beautiful Rebeka… every thoughtful detail of the day carried her fingerprints. Romantic, elegant, creative and beautifully personal.

Together, they’re impossible not to smile around.

There were enormous floral installations filling the rooms with the sweetest scent, an incredible team of suppliers (including my fave partner-in-crime Lou lou - modern wedding filmmaker - lover of love 💕) and a celebration that somehow felt both wonderfully elegant and completely relaxed.

Then after dinner, as is tradition…

… we waited. The sun had briefly disappeared behind clouds and we wondered if we’d get a golden hour. We wandered anyway…

And then, all at once -

“There it is” ✨

Heads snapped up. Lou and I looked at each other, grinned, and almost in unison shouted…

“Get in that light!” ✨

Off we all ran across the gardens.

Rebeka and Matthew laughed, danced, dipped, lifted, kissed…

… and the evening gave us the most beautiful ending.

I know I speak on behalf of Lou and I when I say, this is our favourite way to finish a wedding day - and oh my, was it the most beautiful golden 7 minutes for this wonderful pair.

When you design your wedding around making time.

Before the wedding, Sam and Jordan told me they wanted one thing above everything else: to celebrate with the people they love, but to make sure they had time for each other too. Time to disappear for ten minutes. Time to wander. Time to actually remember what their wedding day felt like.

And on their wedding day, we did exactly that.

At the beautiful Saltmarshe Hall, where elegant rooms spill into peaceful gardens and every corner seems to invite you to stay a little longer, we never rushed.

Jordan tucked one emergency tissue into the pocket of her dress because she was sure she would cry through the entire certainty (she found my strict tissue rationing highly amusing). They married in the most beautiful garden ceremony, with just a sprinkling of tears. We explored the gardens, enjoyed canapés and brightly coloured cocktails amongst the flowers. We stood beside hydrangeas bigger than Sam’s head. We admired the breathtaking staircase draped in the most incredible florals. We wandered through the walled garden as the evening softened around us.

Nothing extravagant happened.

And somehow, everything did.

Because this wasn’t a day filled with big performances or packed schedules.

It was simply two lovely people giving themselves permission to experience every minute of the wedding they’d so thoughtfully created.

And I think that’s exactly what made it unforgettable - the beautifully unhurried nature of being fully present, on your most special of days.

Some love stories whisper ✨

Emily and Joe’s was one of them.

They seemed happiest in the spaces in between.

The quiet walk through the gardens. A forehead kiss. An arm wrapped around a waist.

Two people standing side by side, looking towards whatever comes next.

Every wedding has its own rhythm.

Some are full of big reactions and happy chaos.

Others remind you that love can be wonderfully steady.

This one felt exactly that.

And somewhere between the stillness, two very lovely dogs wandering through the day, and a room full of people cheering when the singing waiters arrived, another chapter quietly began.
