Champagne in one hand, bottle in the other.

After a work trip and a couple of days off, I’m now back at my desk editing again. Finishing a wedding gallery before I properly tackle all the Morocco content.

My editing will be fuelled by water and coffee rather than champagne though!

Morocco in monochrome.

My hubby, who spent the entire trip carrying my camera bags while I disappeared off photographing horses or riding along the Atlantic coast.

Moroccan cowboy kicking up dust under the baking hot sun.

A small glimpse into what I captured with the team at where horse riding meets the raw beauty of Morocco’s Atlantic coast and everything in between.

From desert trails and forest rides to sunset rides at gallop, Sand & Saddle cater for all, whether you want a short beach ride or a longer 3-5 day trek.

This was a hot on location in Diabat.

Back in Morocco, and I think I could photograph in this light forever. It’s soft, dreamy and covers everything it touches in an apricot tinged hue.

A few quiet days of dusty landscapes, camels and soft evening light before the horses take centre stage.

Some frames from our road trip from Agadir to our villa in Sidi Kaouki.

Henri and her veil lifting off.

I’m heading off to Morocco for the rest of the week to photograph horses again, and when I went last November so many of you said you loved following along with the daily stories, so I’ll make sure to share plenty again this trip.

If there’s anything you want to see while I’m there, let me know.

What’s in my camera bag for Morocco 🇲🇦

Packing the gear I’ll be using to capture the horses, landscapes and everyday moments; from cinematic travel shots to documentary-style storytelling of the horses.

While I’ll only be using one camera at a time, I can’t take the risk of a malfunction so taking a spare just in case. My must have again are the lens filters. So many tiny grains of sand are damaging to glass. Morocco’s coastlines can be really windy and with expensive lenses it’s far cheaper to replace the filters!

2 x camera bodies D750 and Z6iii both .uk
3 x lenses 24-70, 70-200 and an 85 prime all Nikon
1 x Nikon lens adapter
2 x lenses filters from 67mm and 77 mm
Dual slot battery charger (Hähnel Pro Cube)
Numerous sd cards from
Microfibre cloth (Vanguard from Park Cameras)
Cleaning kit (Amazon)
Gimbal from Tokqi

I’m always looking for where the light falls.

This tiny chapel had the softest natural light pouring through the windows, no flash was needed at all.

Also, this cake from deserved a moment of its own.

A coastal winter wedding at an iconic seaside venue.

I photographed my dear friend’s wedding yesterday, just after the solstice. A cold but bright day by the sea, with clear winter light and a sunset that cast pink skies behind the pier.

Anna wore a bejewelled Jenny Packham gown with a matching hairpiece, and a feathered jacket, both found new on Marketplace. Her bouquet was made by hand using fresh roses bought locally and her good friend styled her hair.

The ceremony and celebrations took place in an old coastal cinema, and the lovely event manager told me that for a short time, Screen 1 would be empty and available for a few photographs. Quite apt seeing as Jody is in the film industry!

An intimate wedding, thoughtfully put together, and a fitting way to close my 2025 season.

Congratulations Anna and Jody. Live happily ever after 💕
