But it’s not ready to launch yet.

So I need some willing guinea pigs to test it out for me!l when it’s ready in about 2 weeks!

I’m not going to lie - it’ll be glitchy. S**t won’t work. Links will be redundant and I may not have much hair left by the end of the testing process, but I NEED YOUR HELP!

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

This is actually a take on an old 1950s MCGRAW HILL advertising campaign. Times have changed, but the message hasn’t: unless you are present, visible and seen in your business, your potential clients are just scrolling past you at light speed.

We’re Gen X. We grew up on subculture, grit, and a healthy dose of skepticism. We hate "branding" because it feels like putting on a costume. But here’s the cold, hard truth: If you don’t visually define yourself, the internet will do it for you (by ignoring you).

There are 8.3 billion people on this spinning space rock. If you’re hiding behind a 10-year-old headshot or a stock photo of a laptop next to a latte, you aren't being "authentic", you’re being invisible.

Stop Being a Ghost

You aren't a commodity. You are a creative powerhouse with decades of taste and a specific point of view. But if your visual presence is a blank screen, you're asking your clients to do too much homework.

• Ditch the "Corporate" mask. Nobody wants the blazer-and-folded-arms look.
• Stop hiding. Your face is the anchor of your authority.
• Own your aesthetic. Brand photography isn't about looking "perfect"; it’s about looking like you on your best day, doing the work you love.

If you aren't comfortable putting yourself out there, you’re essentially running a secret business. And secret businesses don't pay the mortgage.

The Bottom Line
Good business owners SHOW UP!

They don't do it because they're narcissists; they do it because they have something worth saying.
You can call it a "personal brand," or you can just call it showing up for your own career. Without a visual identity that screams "I know exactly what I’m doing," you’re just another voice in a very loud, very crowded room.
