Now I'm not saying getting headshots from me makes you a winner...but it can't be a coincidence can it 😉

It was such a strong final and all 3 were brilliant (as were all the other finalists - who I should add by pure coincidence included another 3 of my customers 😍) and I had a lot of fun photographing the competition 📸

"I hate having my photograph taken."

It’s the first thing I hear almost every time someone steps into my home studio. It’s a completely normal feeling; there is a raw vulnerability in being "seen" by a lens. Before the first flash even fires, you’re likely thinking: “I’m going to hate every single one of these.”

I get it. Truly.

Yesterday, I had a late cancellation. With the studio already set up, I decided to grab some new headshots of myself. The moment I grabbed the remote trigger, the inner critic woke up: I need a haircut. I should’ve dyed my beard. Which side is the "good" one? And what on earth do I do with my hands?

I mostly photograph comedians—people who make a living being vulnerable on stage. My job is to help you channel that same performance energy to sidestep the self-doubt. We’re not just taking a photo; we’re capturing you.

My goal is to make the experience "chilled”, “relaxed”, "fun" and best of all, "totally painless." If you need headshots but dread the process, you’re in good company.

Some action shots from the last Semi-Final Heat of the New Comedy Award at Komedia Brighton in association with COMIC BOOM Comedy Club & Victoria Nangle Such a strong heat that 3 wildcards were dished out to some of the acts to join the effortlessly brilliant in the final 👏👏

The final is on Tuesday 10th February and looks like it's going to be a strong one, so get along and see who could be crowned this year’s winner!!

Massive congratulations to Tracey Davies who won the heat & goes through to the final on Tuesday 10th February.

Last semi-final Tuesday 3rd February then the final on Tuesday 10th, so get along and see who could be crowned this year’s winner!!

comedy is a great new comic ripping up the Brighton comedy circuit. They recently had great success at Brighton Fringe with their show & have reached the semi-finals of 's So You Think You're Funny competition in Edinburgh next month. Good luck Oro 🙌
