Amdani, Wrecsam! ❤️

Well, this is pretty exciting for our little corner of North Wales!

Wrexham has officially been shortlisted for UK City of Culture 2029, and what an opportunity to show everyone what makes this place so special.

From our rich history and heritage to the creativity, independent businesses, music, art, people and communities that give Wrexham its character. There's so much to be proud of, and even more worth shouting about.

And the best bit? If we pull this off, Wrexham will become the first Welsh City of Culture. Not bad, eh?

I've always thought Wrexham has a story worth telling, and this could be our chance to tell it on a much bigger stage.

So here's to Wrexham, its people, its culture and everything that makes it what it is.

36+ years of service, countless memories, and a career that’s made a real difference to so many people.

Andy, it’s been a privilege to capture some of your journey over the last four years not just as a firefighter, but as a two-time Mayor of Wrexham, fundraiser, Blood Bike rider and, most importantly, a good friend.

You’re hanging up the helmet and bunker jacket… sort of!
Here’s to the next chapter as Watch Manager, leading the RDS crew at Wrexham Fire Station.
A proper local legend. And an absolute privilege to call you a friend.

Today was one of those days where I got to combine two things I love: photography and supporting the fire service. 📸 🚒
We headed over to Bala to spend some time with the NWFRS Bala RDS Crew, documenting their charity car wash as they got stuck in to raise funds for The Fire Fighters Charity.

Plenty of soap and sponges, hoses (behave) lol, water and very shiny vehicles (but no topless firefighters getting all soapy, SORRY LADIES AND LADS). Just some amazing people helping out their community by giving up their time to support a great cause. Fire Fighters Charity

It was a pleasure to be there with the camera, capturing the people, the work and all the little moments that make days like this what they are. Always happy to point the camera at something that makes a difference. 📸 🔥

Today I got to spend the day with Green Watch and the wider fire family at Wrexham Fire Station, capturing Andy Williams’ last day… well, kind of!

After 37 years of service, Andy is officially retiring, and I was lucky enough to be there with my camera to capture the moments, the laughs, the madness, and everything in between.

Honestly, without Andy and all the crews and fire family at Wrexham Station, I’d never have been able to capture half of the cool stuff I got to see and experience today.

It wasn’t just about photographing Andy’s last day it was about capturing the people, the friendships, the memories and the little moments that make the fire family what it is.

It was a real privilege to spend the day with you all. ❤️ 🚒 📸

A great afternoon at Wrexham – Your Library
I had the pleasure of attending the Wrexham Your Library event and working with the fantastic Wrexham All Voices Choir to photograph their performance.

It was brilliant to see the choir bring the event to life, and I loved capturing those moments from behind the camera. 📸
There was a great mix of music, storytelling, local history and community throughout the afternoon definitely one of those events that reminds you how much goes on right here in Wrexham.

Big thanks to Wrexham All Voices Choir for having me along to capture it.

I try to attend training sessions regularly with the crew as a volunteer photographer, documenting what they do and giving people an honest look behind the scenes. I am Proud to keep volunteering my time and photography to showcase the work of the firefighters and the people behind the callouts.
