Just a very quick post to say a huge and heartfelt thank you for all the lovely messages of support and incredibly generous sponsorship of a charity that means a lot to me.

My first ever organised run and it was an experience that I’ll never forget. I’m not a natural runner but what an absolute joy to wheeze my way around 13 miles of London on a wonderful Spring day with 20,000 others each with their own stories and cherished charities. With so many problems in the world, it was a truly life-affirming day 🙏

Today is World Parkinson’s Day and tomorrow I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for the wonderful charity that is Parkinson’s UK.

Through the incredible generosity of friends, family and a few strangers I’m within touching distance of raising £1,500. That is waaaaay beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you so much to all who have donated.

I’m now unpacked, ready and resting up in the RAF Club, fortunately just a short jog to the start line. A large carb-packed Italian is planned before an early night!

I’ll share proof that I did actually complete the race tomorrow but I thought today was an appropriate time to share a quick post to see if I can get my fundraising across the £1,500 line.

This is my first ever organised run and I know from the training that it’s going to hurt. That said, it’s a privilege to be able to run and I’ll be thinking of my late dad and my friends who I know are fighting their own battles with this horrible disease.

Well, there’s no backing out of this now, the shirt and race number have arrived 😬😰

So, it’s about time that I made it public that I’ve been training my not very athletic middle-aged body to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 12th April. This is the first endeavour of this kind for me (and may well prove my last!) and I’m running to raise money for the incredible charity that is

I will be running this race with memories of my late father Eric never far from my mind. My dad suffered with Parkinson’s for many years and Parkinson’s UK were there for his journey with this terrible disease just as they are for every unique Parkinson’s journey.

I’m terrible at social media and have been woeful at promoting this fundraising effort and will only appear in your ‘feeds’ just this once. I know we all have our own charities that have special meanings in our lives and limited resources to spread amongst them all so this really is just a request for sponsorship if you’re able to make a donation no matter how small. I’ve set myself a modest fund-raising target and would be massively grateful to anyone who can help me surpass it 🙏

I’ve left a link to my Parkinson’s UK page where you can make a donation in the link above in my ‘Bio’.

Thank you so much.

Andy

PS The slightly cheesy tune is in memory of Eric, he loved a bit of Bryan Adams! 🎸

A belated Happy New Year!

And, what a great way to start, delivery of Norfolk & Suffolk Bride 2026 Magazine featuring one of the absolute best wedding days, Rebecca & Arthur’s at the simply stunning Ormesby Manor.

It’s reminding me of the fun that lies ahead, in my final wedding season, and I really cannot wait to return to this wonderful venue in August for Madeleine & Michael’s big day!

A massive congratulations to the so lovely Emma & Ray who became Mr & Mrs yesterday 🍾🥂

A fabulous autumn wedding day absolutely packed with love and laughter and a few familiar faces including Daisy & Paul whose wedding I was privileged to capture a few years ago.

This was my final wedding of 2025, my 13th year as a full-time photographer. A brilliant way to sign off the year and fortunate to be at one of my favourite wedding venues run so brilliantly by Jo & Simon, the warmest of venue owners. I’m already looking forward to returning to the Reading Room a couple of times in 2026.

Here are a few random snaps from yesterday before I head away for an end-of-season break. I’ll no doubt share some more once I’m back at my desk and hitting the editing queue.

A great team of wedding ‘suppliers’ helped bring together Emma & Ray’s autumnal wedding vision:

A slightly belated but nonetheless massive congratulations to the so lovely Rebecca & Karl for an awesome Autumn wedding day at the gorgeous on Saturday! 🍁

Having been fortunate enough to capture Rebecca’s sister Katie’s wedding a few years ago and Karl’s sister Charlotte’s wedding only a few weeks ago, an extra special day for me being surrounded by so many wonderfully warm and friendly faces.

It’ll be the days like these that will live with me long beyond my career as a wedding photographer and will be the ones that I miss most when I retire next year.

A wonderful group of ‘suppliers’ came together to deliver this beautiful wedding day for Rebecca & Karl:

With the 2025 wedding season slowly coming to a close I now have some spare time to squeeze in a few family shoots over the coming month before the clocks go back and we all hibernate for a few months.

With the autumn colours now here, a little warmth left in the sun and earlier sunsets it’s a great time to book in a shoot and bank some family memories that might also just solve your family Christmas present shopping dilemmas (sorry for mentioning the C word quite so early in the year 🙈!).

Slowly making my way through Chris & Ilektra’s exceptional wedding day and thought I’d share a little selection of images from their time at the stunning All Saints Church in Thornham.

Church weddings can be a tricky for photographers in terms of light, space and freedom to take photographs. It all came together in all those respects last weekend, delivering what I think are some of my absolute favourite ‘church moments’. Just wonderful.

Dropping in to say a massive congratulations to Chris & Ilektra for truly the most beautiful of wedding days in Thornham yesterday.

As always, I’ll share a few more images later in the week as I edit, so just this one for now - I won’t bore you with the details of how we ended up almost stranded at Thornham Old Harbour on a very high tide and momentarily bathed in the most remarkable evening sunlight. It was a very special way to end a very special day with a very special couple. Just extraordinary.

My word, just when I think I’m committed and ready for retirement, a day like yesterday comes along (and there have been a few of late) and I’m left wondering whether I still have something to offer couples and how much I’ll miss being in the thick of it amongst warm and loving people who were in such an abundance yesterday.
