Just a couple of previews to say a heartfelt congratulations to Holly & Martin who enjoyed a wonderfully joyful and intimate wedding Cley Windmill yesterday.

A truly perfect day for an absolutely lovely couple who I don’t think will mind me saying that they took a little while to find ‘the one’ but it’s so totally clear that the wait was sooooo worth it 👌😍 A real pleasure and privilege to be asked to capture such a special moment in their lives.

A bank holiday huge congratulations to Mandie & Caner for an epic wedding day Oxnead Hall | Norfolk Wedding Venue yesterday 🍾🥂

So much love and happiness for these special people, a real day of unbridled joy for friends and family who were treated to the absolute best that wedding days have to offer.

I’ve struggled to pick some favourites as there was so much happening - I’ve a LOT to go through! For me though, a first dance to a recording of Mandie singing and her later live rendition of ‘We Are Family’ have to be the highlights 👏 What a voice!

This was my final wedding at Oxnead Hall which has been my second home and a favourite venue since my first wedding there on 4th April 2015. I felt a little sad as I said goodbye for a final time last night but incredibly grateful for the many, many special days I’ve been so privileged to capture here over the last decade or so. It’s been by far my most visited venue and I’m hugely grateful to have been a recommended supplier by Unique Norfolk Venues throughout that period. Mandie & Caner’s day proved to be the perfect send off with so many fond memories that’ll I’ll take with me into wedding retirement 🙏

It was also fitting that the so lovely Caroline of The Ceremony People who was one of the very first Registrars that I worked with back in 2012, so expertly officiated yesterday’s beautiful ceremony 👌

Finally, a great team of ‘suppliers’ helped Mandie & Caner realise their dream wedding day. I’m not sure I have all the names so please do give me a nudge if you’d like to be tagged/collab.

I’ve been out 📸 families all year but I’ve not been posting as they have almost all requested that I don’t share online.

But, I thought it was a good time for an annual reminder that, with wedding season winding down, soft autumn light arriving, the breezes still warm, ‘golden hour’ earlier, the leaves about to turn and the perennial search for meaningful festive gifts just around the corner (sorry, I did at least avoid the ‘C’ word) Autumn is THE best time to book a family photoshoot.

Beach, woods, city, park or back garden can make the perfect backdrop to create and document some cherished family memories where everyone gets to be in the photos and the files are of a quality to make fabulous prints.

Shoots typically last about 90 minutes, are always relaxed and as candid as possible and take place at a time of day that suits the kids' routines and a location of your choosing. All edited images are delivered via online gallery within a few days and are then free to download, print and share as you wish. Prices are on my website, link in bio 👆

What a wedding day yesterday Ormesby Manor Weddings for the fabulous Madeleine & Michael! A huge congratulations to you both for absolutely smashing it from start to finish! 🤩 They also managed to book a cooler day than of late and bagged a wedding photographer's dream lighting scenario - overscast flat light for outdoor ceremony and groups followed by golden light for 'cocktail hour' and 'portraits' - I don't recall ever having it quite so easy! 🙌

Wonderful to be back at the unique and stunning Ormesby Manor for another very special wedding day. I’ve only shot here a couple of times but, on my 29th wedding anniversary today, if we were to do it all again this venue would definitely make our shortlist 😍👌

As you can no doubt tell from this post, I struggled to choose images so here’s a random selection from so many magical moments yesterday.

And now we’re off to celebrate our own anniversary - today’s tune is our first dance from 1997 (sorry, but it had to be!)

Madeleine & Michael’s day was an absolutely perfect reminder of just how incredibly important and special these one-off days with our closest friends and families are.

A huge Sunday morning congratulations to a special couple, Thompson & Julie, who enjoyed the most wonderful of wedding days in Felmingham and The Reading Room yesterday ☀️❤️

Their hugely moving ceremony was unquestionably one of the most joyous that I’ve had the privilege to capture with love and happiness levels off the charts and so special to see family members contributing so beautifully to the atmosphere through their music and singing 👌😍

A day that will live long in my memory and for anyone lucky enough to have been a part of it all.

This was also my final wedding at The Reading Room and departing this special venue yesterday was the first time that I’ve felt a little sadness at bringing this wedding photographer chapter of my life to a close.

I’ve had the honour of capturing weddings The Reading Room pretty much since Jo & Simon opened their truly amazing little slice of rural Norfolk to weddings and it’s always felt like going home joining them for wedding days. Without doubt the best wedding hosts in the business and with an unmatched intimate wedding venue that really is a slice of North Norfolk heaven, every single wedding I’ve captured here over the years has been an absolute joy. I’ll definitely miss my visits here but I’ll always be grateful to Jo & Simon for their friendship and warm welcomes across the last few years.

I wish you all the very best for the future; anyone who is lucky enough to discover your haven of tranquility and book their wedding with you has made the very best decision! 👌😍

A few more from Ben & Molly’s very special day at The Reading Room yesterday.

Amazing what you can cover in just 3 hours of wedding photography - arrivals, ceremony, confetti, groups, details, candids, speeches and ‘portraits’ 👌 No make-up or dancing but I just know the phones will have that more than covered!

And now time to pack for a very full day tomorrow with the lovely Charlotte and Ben who I’ve not seen since their engagement shoot which feels like years ago! A busy week ahead with 3 weddings and 3 family shoots - peak 📸 season has arrived!

A little sneak peek and a massive congratulations for Boo & Simon who enjoyed the most wonderful of wedding days yesterday! 😍

I’m slightly nervous to share these as Boo is a fellow photographer (no pressure 😬🤞!) and friend of some years - but of course an absolute joy and a genuine privilege to capture her and Simon ‘f*€$’ finally becoming husband and wife!

A very special day for 2 special people and their closest friends and families. Also, a special shout out to the lovely and so warm Cecile who hosted the reception in the truly beautiful and stunningly chic Valley House - just as Boo had said prior, a photographer’s dream location😍👌
