Did you see any of the images released from Wildlife photographer of the year, some pretty stunning creations. This fits rather well with our next speaker, Jack Perks who will be talking about his observations as a wildlife photographer.
Born and bred in Nottingham Jack is primarily a freelance underwater & wildlife cameraman with a deep passion for the natural world. Shortly after graduating Jack focused more on moving image and has since worked for dozens of wildlife and angling tv programmes including Springwatch, The One Show, Mr Crabtree Goes Fishing and The Great British Year. Jack also appears in front of the camera and has presented several films for Countryfile.
This is set to be a fantastic talk and one I would suggest you don't miss if you have any interest in wildlife photography.

In this talk, Tony showcases the best of his more traditional landscapes and provides tips and techniques on how to achieve them, especially for the more challenging genre of astrophotography. He relates a few anecdotes about the locations and experiences of shooting the scenes.
Tony mentions some of his inspirations, including his friend Kieran Metcalfe, who is also a very talented landscape photographer.
Throughout the talk, Tony discusses what he sees as the main challenges of landscape photography and how to overcome them.
Tony provides an entertaining and inspiring evening with plenty of great images. Tony has become a very popular choice as a speaker, his enthusiasm shows in his work. An evening I’m sure you will enjoy and the first in a series of talks Tony will be providing for us.

This is a fascinating opportunity to hear David talk about his passion for street photography and the stories of how the images came about.
Much of David’s photography, predominantly street portraiture, takes place in and around the historic Spitalfields area of London’s east end.

This talk is about the stories behind the images and sometimes life-enhancing encounters. David is more than happy to share his approach to street portraiture. Sharing his belief that there is much to be gained by developing a deep knowledge of the geography, history and people of a chosen location.

A huge thanks to Roger Hance for his fantastic talk last night on Photo Talk. His knowledge and passion for nature photography certainly came across as he offered many tips to capture some stunning images.

Next Tuesday we have the pleasure of welcoming David Keep as he explores ways of creating impact with your sports images. https://photo-talk.co.uk/talk-003-details/ His attention to detail in both shooting the image and processing it afterwards shows he can create that wow impact. Even if you are not interested in sport, this talk is definitely worth watching as the techniques can easily be transferred to other photography genres.

Sports images can be very successful on the competition circuit and there’s no surprise why – they almost guarantee an image with impact.

In this talk, David shares his approach to gaining access, the technical challenges of the day and the post-processing of the image.
When it comes to creating impact with an image, David is a true master, his results are stunning, to say the least.

Want to know how to go about photographing wildlife subjects in the UK. Roger Hance explains what equipment you'll need, how to work from hides, how to set up a feeding station, how to stalk wild birds/animals, as well as showing some of the top locations in the UK where you can go to get great nature shots.

In this talk Roger explains how to get within range of small timid subjects without scaring them, as well as how to avoid many of the pitfalls that many people make. It covers birds, mammals, reptiles, butterflies and insects, wildflowers, fungi and amphibians.

Roger is a truly inspirational speaker and is only too happy to share his wide and varied knowledge of photography. A wildlife, nature talk not to be missed.
