The mighty Vulcan!

I spent the day filming with The Vulcan Experience documenting all there is to see, and of course hear, on one of their engine run days.

Great to capture all the elements of a thrilling experience including time spent inside the cockpit during an engine run!

Shame she doesn’t fly anymore but you can still go and hear that iconic howl at The Vulcan Experience!

Last night marked the start of my 12 week journey with the Creative Buisness Skills Academy. Led by Aesthetica and York St. John University bringing together creative minds in York and North Yorkshire.

Gavin Priestley, Matthew Rhodes & Sarah Schiewe, some of the past 2024 cohort gave some very insightful and inspiring talks about their experiences both before and after and after the course.

Great to hear some of this years cohort too! Sam McClaren Guitars, Dean Bartlett, Desmond Clarke & Sophie Bullivant. The excitement and energy was amazing and I can’t wait to get involved!

Cherie Federico, Owen Turner, Brendan Paddison and David Skaith all gave great talks regarding their aim to make creative businesses a core part of York’s ecosystem.

It was brilliant to network and connect with so many like minded and creative people! I start tonight, I can’t wait to meet the rest of the 2026 cohort.

Yesterday I came home to some amazing news!

I am so proud to have been selected as part of the 2026 Aesthetica Creative Business Skills Academy, in partnership with York St John University’s School of Business.

The Academy is a tailored programme designed to support creative founders and small business owners with the practical skills needed to start, grow and strengthen their enterprises.

I cannot wait to get started and I look forward to developing my skills alongside an amazing community of creatives.

To kick off the programme, a launch event ‘Reignite XIV: Creative Entrepreneurship’ is being held at York St John University on the 5th May. Tickets here…
