Second image of steps on Micklegate, York. This time they are those of . I cross this threshold twice each month; there's a considerable dip. I always wonder how many thousands of footsteps have gone that way before. Boot scrapers, the iron bars long since rusted away, remind us of the days when everyone's boots would have been soiled with horse manure.
I am taking part in 'Steptember'.
