Feeling incredibly grateful

I’ve just received the most amazing Google review from my lovely bride, Sarah, and I honestly couldn’t be more thankful.

In March, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Sarah & Greg’s beautiful wedding at Leeds Civic Hall, and what a special day it was! Not only was it such a joy to capture their love story, but it was also my very first time photographing a wedding in a city centre outside of York, which made it even more memorable.

From the iconic surroundings of Leeds Civic Hall to the excitement of exploring a new city for wedding portraits, this day was one I’ll never forget. It means the world to receive such kind words from my couples after their wedding day, and reviews like this truly remind me why I love what I do 📸✨

Over the last few days, I’ve been lucky enough to spend some time with the amazing team at The Beverley Barn, and wow… what an incredible wedding venue this is!

Huge congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Ellis 🤍✨

What an absolute dream of a day it was celebrating with you both! From start to finish it was full of love, laughter, and so many moments that were just so you.

And Nicola… I still can’t quite believe I was the one photographing your wedding after being in the secondary school year group all those years ago.
Such a surreal (and very cool!) full-circle moment.

You two were an absolute joy to be around l, so relaxed, so full of energy, and clearly meant for each other. Days like this are exactly why I love what I do.

Wishing you both a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and plenty more incredible memories together (and hopefully fewer school flashbacks)

Want more relaxed, natural wedding photos? It all starts with your timeline ⏳

One of the biggest differences between a stressful wedding day and a really enjoyable one often comes down to timing. When your schedule is too tight, everything starts to feel rushed, and before you know it, you’re moving from one moment to the next without really getting the chance to take it all in.

That’s why giving yourself more time than you think you need is one of the simplest but most effective things you can do. It gives you space to breathe, to enjoy each part of the day properly, and to actually be present rather than constantly watching the clock.

A huge part of this is planning in breathing space. Whether it’s an extra 10 minutes while getting ready, a bit of buffer before the ceremony, or some downtime after your drinks reception, these small pockets of time make a huge difference. They help the day feel calm and natural, rather than rushed or chaotic.

If you’re open to it, considering a first look can also really help ease pressure later in the day. It gives you a private, emotional moment together before everything begins, and can take a lot of the time pressure off your couple portraits after the ceremony.

And finally, don’t feel like you need to cram everything in. Your wedding day doesn’t need to be packed full to be meaningful. In fact, the more you simplify your timeline, the more space you create for the real moments to happen naturally.

A well-planned timeline = less stress, more presence, and better photos 🙌

Huge congratulations to this S & G on tying the knot this weekend at Leeds Civic Hall.

This was my first ever time photographing a wedding at this iconic venue, and what a day it was!

After the ceremony, we jumped in an Uber across Leeds to capture some magic in front of the famous You & Me & Me & You by Anthony Burrill – such a perfect backdrop for these two 🖤

We then headed over to The Lost & Found Leeds Club where the celebrations continued in style. The newlyweds made their entrance to the sounds of Martin Hamer setting the tone for an unforgettable evening 🎹✨

A wedding to remember from start to finish – thank you both for letting me be part of it!
